ok.. this is really emabarassing for me to ask, but I haven't even gotten my A4 shiped in yet I figured it wouldn't look that bad if I asked it anyway.....

Ok, I know how to adjust the Toe, ove-travel and return stroke of the trigger. I also know how to change de-bounce and the dwell settings.... but... I haven't got a clue what any of those mean, let alone how they'll affect the way my marker behaves....

I hate to be spoonfed, but aparently no one asks these basic questions around here... can anyone help me out... please... :notsure: :puzzled: :puzzled:

once you sit down with your marker and see what they all do you'll slap your hand on your forehead and go "duh.....it's so simple";)

Yeah, its nothing to worry about. When you get your gun just sit down with it and the manual and it will all become clear. Congrats on your new Angel, welcome to the family!

rtfm as many times as possible when you first get it and it will all come to you....thats atleast what I did with my first 2 angels (LCD,IR3) and then it became pretty simple when I got my A4.

Return stroke is how much the trigger moves BEFORE it fires, and overtravel is how much the trigger moves AFTER it fires (you want to end up with 0 overtravel). Toe adjusts where in the pull the gun fires (best to leave that alone).

De-bounce is how much trigger bounce you have (like a timmy  ) the higher the number, the more illegal and faster you can shoot.

Dwell you pretty much want to leave alone, it controls how long the ram is held forward (which holds the valve open).

Anything else?

Thank you soo much!!!! that really helped me out man!!! but why should I leave my dwell alone?? won't messing with it directly affect my working pressure and efficiency??? not to mention my ROF????

And so, my debounce should be set at it's lowest possible value so I'm not shooting illegaly, right???

like it says in the manual, only mess with your dwell to fine tune your gun to accessories, ie volumizers.

front vernier wheel adjusts where the trigger sit when not pulled and the back vernier wheel adjusts where it stops when you pull. its easier to understand it like that.

Dwell effects how long the valve is held open, so its going to effect your air efficiency, ROF (since the valve is held open by the ram, and therefor the bolt will be held forwards) and velocity (more air=higher fps).

You can change the dwell settings from stock (11?) out to Ken's recommended setting of 17 after the marker has been broken in. The only time you should raise the dwell is when you drop the LPR pressure of the gun, since LP = high flow, you need to allow more gas through to achieve the same FPS. You should run a volumizer when doing this. There is a sticky of Ken's settings here: http://www.angel-owners.com/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=22326

Debounce: its only illegal when it gets to the point where you can pull the trigger once and the gun either rips of in full auto or you get 2-3 shots out of it. Untill you get to that point (probably ~18) its fair game.
