How do you polish things

I was wondering how i could polish my sight rail, and how it comes out, and how would i take off my sight rail?

First you need to remove anno and you can do that via lye or drano or stove top cleaner. Brake fluid is also a great great paint remover and cheap. I would use the brake fluid.
put an even filma nd watch closely. get a plactic wrap and rub it into the rail to remove paint.

id used dremel and wire brush. Softer type bristle brush and some metallic polish and and old ragged but clean hand towel to wipe polish off. Most metal polish liquids can do most of the work with a polishing cloth wheel to get to a bling.
