Ok so here is how you make one (I just did it myself in about 5 min, including setting up the camera and lights, as well as taking the pictures.
Required parts:
-ASA (I used old one off cocker)
-Gauge (I used one off an old preset). Use a half decent one, cause you need an accurate reading or there is not much point of you doing this.
Required tools:
-Wrench (for gauge)
-Teflon tape or loctite (to seal)
1). All the parts/tools you need.
2). Remove the reg from your gun.
3). I used a gauge from my old preset.
4). Take off the gauge.
5). Screw it into the ASA (use teflon tape or loctite to seal).

6). Attach (screw in) gun reg.
7). Attach macroline to gun reg. Screw the velocity screw all the way IN. Air up. Check pressure reading on gauge, adjust velocity screw out untill your pressure is reading correctly (500psi for a HP gun, 350psi for a LP).
8). Once the required pressure has been met, remove the air source and slowly unscrew reg. The built up pressure will vent safely out the bleed hole in the ASA (just like we used to do when removing co2 tanks from the spyder).
You might want to use an adapter with both sides pre done for a gauge.
That way you can install a gauge on one side, and a bleed system on the other side.
It would be advantageous to bleed the pressure so that you can sample the recharge rate.

Russ if you can help me out with some sort of bleed system that is somewhat inexpense that would be great. so far myself and Carlos have not been able to come up with something that doesn't end up costing more then the accual reg tester.

I'm all ears.
A bleed valve runs about $10

I made one using an old CO2 fill station adaptor i had. Where you would screw the part down i took that off and put a slide check there and then put a guage where the hose went. Then you need a plug to cover the top of the slide check and that's it.
great stuff guys. quick question, will an in-line gauge adapter work in between the minireg and the marker?

Yes that would work too.

Vantage, here's a chrome plated bleed valve, You'll need a male/female valve to thread into the other side.

Want to try that again Sean?

Try what again, did I already suggest that? If so sorry my memory is somewhat shot.

You said heres a chrome plated bleed valve, but there is no link or picture?

Those are a decent on/off but will fail if used as a bleed system for a reg or air system. Because you will need to open and close frequently to test for flow/recharge rate etc... the valve's seal will fail fast. At $12 a pop there are better solutions. I will find a link for the actual push button bleed valves.

Minireg output pressure, so you can tune your gun to a set minireg and LPR pressure.

got a question, i know its an old post.. but w/e
IF you attach your tank where you are suppose to attach the mini reg... would the gauge on the ASA tell you the Tanks" output pressure..??

DON'T DO THAT!!!!!! It will overpressure your marker . Not a good idea.
A better way is to take the macro line fitting off your tank ASA. Then replace it with a gauge

yeah. thats what i mean.. if you take a ASA.. put a gauge on one side. and then another screw on the other(where the macro line goes.. the screw that goes in there instead of a gauge) then screw in ur tank.. will that give u the tank out put pressure?

and by where the mini reg goes..
i meant in the little contraption.. minireg --> asa-->macro line to tank
not the tank right into the angel!.

Best way to make a reg tetster:
Recepie:
1 1500 psi gauge
1 Bleeder ASA
a few drops of loctite on gauge thread
Let loctite harden overnight
Done!

Or use teflon tape. Done! (faster)

I never said it was the fastest way, just the best way.
