i got my n2 tank filed today, and at the top of the pin where the gas comes out it had an extremely small leak, it made a very faint popping noise almost imposible to hear, but over long periods of time i could see that my tank was loosing air. when i move the pin around sometimes it stops and wont do it until i screw it in my gun and take it out.. anyways is there anything that i can do to permanatly stop this from happening?

it sounds like you've got a faulty pin valve...take it to the shop you bought it from, and see if they can replace it with one that works.

Darn you fast internet people that can respond fast!!! But yeah I'd agree with Emmit, have the pro shop check your pin valve.

ok.. it seems like its fine after i move it a little bit, its not leaking any more but i dont wanna have to keep playing with it. yeah ill take it to the proshop, oh and by the way y is it that sometimes tanks fillers can only fill ur tanks to 4000 psi or like 3500?

I'd say it's just the seal in the pin valve, because if you wiggle it, it seals. As far as filling the tanks, most people only go to 3000 PSI. This is because the older tanks were almost always 3000 PSI and they want to keep the safety of not filling bottles over 3000 PSI because they don't really want to check each bottle. Our shop does that and only fills the tanks up to 4500 PSI for us because we're sponsored by them and they know us, and for tournaments and such where the extra air could be the decifering factor in the game.

i usually have them top it off after it has cooled down. also some shops compressors can't get that much psi.

that has nothing to do with your tank, and everything to do with their supply...either their banks are low, or the booster isn't working at it's full capacity.
