Well I got my speed yesterday. I used it at practice last night and my god did it rip. However today when I went to play it started to leak. It is leaking from the flash tank assembly. If you look at the assembly there is a little square/rectangle cut in it outside of where the o-ring is. Right above it in the body of the gun is a small hole. I believe that is where the air is coming from. So I changed the o-ring on the flash tank assembly, the O-rings on the LPR. Gassed it back up and still leaking! So i took it apart again changed all the o-rings again and I even replaced the main seal inside of the LPR. Well it still leaks. I am completely confused on how this could be leaking. What makes it even worse was it wasnt even a day old straight out of the box before it started to leak. I am kind of dissapointed in it. But I would like to get it fixed cause when it was shooting wow! Anyway if anyone could help me out that I would be great. Oh yeah I did lube the o-rings before i put them in and stuff.

The square is the LPR vent. If its leaking there its your LPR that is leaking not the flashtank seal. Try greasing up your LPR orings and see if that helps.

I tried greasing everything up. Still didn't do anything. Could it be that my LPR is to high?

Well I just changed my o-rings for the second time on my LPR and still nothing. I have tried lowering and raising my dwell and still no change. I have tried both my PMI high output tank as well as a hyperflow low output tank. Still nothing. Any ideas?

I had the same problem on my 4. I ended up greasing up the o-ring on the brass piston a bunch. Make sure there is a good amount of lube on it, and you should be good to go.

you changed the o-ring on the lpr body right? not the piston?

The first time i did it i changed the one on the piston. That didnt help so i changed the o-rings on the LPR. That didnt help so i went through and changed the LPR o-rings again and the main seal and it is still leaking. I will trying lubing them all up real good again. Hopefully that will solve it.

did you actually change ALL of them or just the ones that looked damaged? if that's the case replace all of them...

None of them looked damaged. I just changed them because i couldnt figure out what was wrong. So yes I did change all of the O-rings at this point in time I have changed them all at least twice.

Do you know what your LPR pressure is?
Are you sure its the square and not just close to it? There is a flashtank manifold seal that you could try replacing.

i am pretty sure it is the square. I will double check though. I should be able to check the pressure when I go into work tom.

Well it is definitley the little square. I have changed the O-rings about 4 times now on both the piston and the LPR. Still leaking....I think I have come to the conclusion that the old angels are the only good ones. Pretty sad when your brand new out of the box gun doesnt work, but my '99 angel led has never leaked or broken down... makes you wonder on quality control now adays. If anyone can think of anything else that might be causing this leak, please let me know.

Talk to who you got the gun from, explain the situation.

I got it at the store I work at. I would send it back to WDP, however they normally take awhile to send guns back to us, as we have to ship them to the UK. I would just grab another one off the wall, except this is the color that I wanted and its the only one....(Yes I am picky)..lol I think I am going to be sending it to a tech for warranty work. Will be cheaper and be a whole lot faster...Thanks for all your help. Props to you Vantage.
