What is the max setting of the LPR topend? I was told by the guy that I bought my gun off that he has it set to 180psi. is this possible?

Everywhere I read it mentions that people are running their LPR's at around 50-75psi

Wow 180psi!!!!!!!!! I don't even think it goes that high. He had to be talking about the operating pressure of the gun not the LPR.

In that case you buy a shirt like this - :stupid: - and wear it around him, because he obviously doesn't know what he's talking about with his LPR pressure. As far as your question, i think aco covered it, but you could get your hands on a tool kit and check for yourself.

The guy I bought the gun was refering to the operating pressure of the gun. The LPR is set to 55psi. A big sigh of relief goes out across Ontario

And down here in the States as well. ;-)

Your sighs were heard here in Arizona, so y'all must really be full of wind... ;)

I've wondered this for a long time, so now I'll ask... Could someone fill me in on the difference between operating pressure and LPR pressure?

Is it that operating pressure is what comes out of the valve to propel the ball, and LPR pressure is what cycles the hammer/ram? Or do I have it backwards?

BINGO You have it correct.

Thanks!

Edit : I guess I have one other question - how are you able to measure the operating pressure? I have the toolkit, so checking the LPR is no problem.

Other than installing the 4's flash tank assembly you need a reg tester similar to air america's.

i dont want to make a new thread this ones subject line is perfect. i was just wondering if a large volumizer effects how my dwell and LPR should be set. my gun is jumping like a mother b/c my lpr is high and my dwell is low. but in keans setup he says use medium volumizer. so i was just wondering if i could use his settings with large volumizer?

His settings will work perfectly fine with a large volumizer. The volumizer doesn't chage the pressure, it effects how low you can go without getting shootdown by giving the gun a readily availible source of air. If anything, the gun will run better with the larger volumizer.
