View Full Version : Need Some Troubleshooting Input
Okay, went out to the field last weekend and I crono'd fine and filled up and all good. I get on the field and end up gettin a breech break, which I find is because somehow I turned my sensi off without noticing. Not a problem, cleaned it up, fliped on sensi, and kept rippin. I figured this might be relevant to my problem incase paint could get in there and mess up sensi. Then I noticed that the balls are droppin off pretty quick and every now and then it feels like I'm skippin shots. So I'm like dammit man, check my settings, and I'm still on sensi3, and everything else is the same. Last time I had ANY problems was with sensi1 and sensi2. I'm startin to get mad, and then notice that some balls are double feeding. Both detents are good. The eggy is fine. The feedneck is secure. I go chrono. Its stayin where I put it at around 270-280. Go back and play, still happening. Had a few more breaks, but they were all in the end of the barrel. That leads me to think it may be because I could have had an old case of paint, but can that really mess an A4 up this bad? The drop off and double feeding kept up pretty much to the end of the day. The settings I have have worked fine the last month and a half I have played. It has an eggy with Z board, and runs the LP preset Angel Air. I'm thinkin the Angel Air might have something to do with this, that was the most helpful stuff I got when I searched. I'm also considering trying my Halo out on this guy despite what people say incase my eggy is going bad. I've kept the gun oiled as per the screen and its got about 8 cases on the counter. Any ideas on what the crap is happening here would rock, thanks guys.

You might want to go and check your LPR. If you've got just about 8 cases through it you're past the "break in" point. All three of the Angels I've had needed to be reset at about the 10k shot mark. I don't know but it's worth a try.

checking the LPR is good, as well as making sure you were getting enough air...if your air source was somehow blocked (on/off not screwed in all the way or too far etc) then you would be getting drop off from that.
Additionally...yes paint down in the breech can cause Sensi to perform poorly. If you get paint in the channel for the COPS rod it will not move freely and not perform as expected.
tighten down the ball detent caps to make sure they are tight...see what happens..
Cool cool, I'll take my gun down as far as I possibly can without the tool kit, clean everything, tighten the detents, and tinker with my ASA on the drop, it has acted wierd tightened to certain spots. I don't have the tool kit so I can't really check my LPR or anything. Once I get it all back together, with the factory LPR setting, what would be a good number for dwell? I'll post back with whatever happens Sunday.
Woohoo, took my baby and cleaned it real good, took out the ball detents and cleaned those. Those things are really weak, I ended up mangling one with a penny trying to get it off. That sucks BIGTIME. One thing I noticed is that my ram assembly was back pretty far, I adjusted it per the manual and got that set up correctly. I dunno if that would cause some problems. After all that and cleaning/greasing my ASA and throwing my Halo B up there I ripped through a hopper no problem. And turned the lawnmower pink. We'll see how it plays tomorrow.
