View Full Version : O-Ring Under the breach

OK, i have a ir3 and the little o ring was out when i got it so i looked with all my spare o rings and i founc the 1 but it wont stay in it is to small or sumthing it fits just not tight and will fall out anything i can do for this?

little grease on the top. The oring is held in place by the breech pressing on it when its closed anyways.

Super glue it on there. It should be the same size o-ring as your ball detent o-ring.

Well it is the o-ring i know that but i dont really want to glue it cause what if i need replace it... Is that the only suggestion? And about the greece i tried sex glue but are u think matrix muck or dow 33?

If you use the search, you will find out that this has happened plenty of times before and the problem has been solved with super glue. The only way you will need to repace it is if you lose it or it goes bad. You just need to use a couple of drops, nothing major. Your choice.

The grease doesn't hold it on secure, it just allows a little suction so it wont fall off when you close the breech once. I don't really suggest doing it if you open your breech alot.

Like TK is saying, use the superglue, its not as permanent as you think. Superglue cannot bond completely with metal so you will always be able to remove it by simply prying it off with your fingernail.

If you want use a little Dow 55. It's designed to swell o-ring so that way you'll get a good tight friction fit.
