I just finished modding my trigger and it RIPS :doc:
What I did was cut off the leaf spring at the top, and glued it directly on the trigger so there is no resistance whatsoever. Sweet.. :drink: Look at the pictures and you'll see how I did it. It took a little bending and cutting before I got it right, but the result was great. Highly recommended. Now I'm just waitin' for me magnets.. :)
Of course you have to be very careful not to damage the optical sensors when your'e fiddling with the leaf spring!

Dangerous mod if you arent experienced... Just a healthy warning.

Yeah, that's true. Don't try this unless you know what you're doing!

I wish your shots werent so blurry. I'll be doing this later tonight, Got my magnets yesterday but they are slightly bigger than what you guys are using in the states. Not much choice down here. Will have to drill a hole into the grip frame below the trigger return adjustment screw and slot it in there. I might take some pics for others to see, as I'm still using the 3 styla trigger and I'm sure others out there are too. Once I do this leaf spring too, should hopefully have a ripping trigger.

better have a $200 buffer in case you mess this one up...

How did it go? Did you try the mod? Sorry about the picture quality, I have a lousy camera for close-ups.
I'm gonna try and use an electro-magnet now for that reactive trigger feel. :scratchhe You guys think that will work? If I connect it to the solenoid power or the intellifeed it should give the trigger a little bounce back every time I shoot, right? Would this be tourney legal?

That exactly what we're doing for our Positive polarity magnetic trigger's except we are using aluminum strips that are JB welded to the back of the trigger, that way we can keep out leaf springs if we screw up. you have to file down that little notch on the back of the trigger.

iamfrontman did the same thing. Thanks for the pics but they are blurry. Hold on the camera button, stabilize then click. lol I do the same thing all the time.

where would you get strips or leaf springs from?

he cut it off of his board....but i think those magnetic anti-theft strips in the white plastic case on CD's would work great...pretty much the same thing.

yea, but you need it to be a relatively strong metal, and if you havn't noticed, those little anti-theft strips are thinner than aluminum foil (or at least the one's I've seen)

mamba juice, you have the sickest Angel I have EVER seen!

well thank you target...and i think a piece of metal such as that would work fine...the only contact point would be on the trigger itself, so you could use alluminum foil if you think about it. they hold position relatively eaisily and are in enough supply that if you mess up it's easy enough to replace. the strength they posess is more than adequate to perform the task it is meant to perform.

Can anyone think of anything that has something similiar to leaf spring in shape ot function

aluminum can cut into strips!

The metal contact strips on those old tyco slot cars. You might have to do some cutting but those would work perfectly.

I did the same mod to my fly4, I had to tweak the bend a bit and used Bowman brand glue (upgraded super glue). I got my leaf out with no signs of tampering (incase I dont like it). I will have a review and a short vid of me shooting it up tomorrow after practice.
