I have some questions about lpr on the angel. If you remove all shims and drop psi around 50, what do you have to turn up in the other parts of the gun in order to compensate? Or does the angel still maintain 300 fps on low pressure. Also how do you gut a minireg? is there any disadvantages/advantages to doing this? I want to use snertz low pressure theory and get my gun to pinch paint, but im curious to how the angel can maintain high velocity with such a low pressure, thanks :)

I find that if the LPR is that low on an LCD you will get drop-off.

I'm a big proponent of this because I love my AIR and I have run it this way for a looong time with no issues. Most don't like it due to the lack of another fail safe point for your gun.
Low pressure? LP was a byproduct of more efficient parts, since that started a craze has spread where people forget the efficiency part and only look at mini gauges to see how low they can go efficiency be damned.
You can always try snertz's setup and see if it works for you, it sounds rather harmless and totally reversible if you change your mind later.

The reason why my mod works is because we do swap out a part on the angel, in this case, the valve spring. From there it's a domino effect that allows you to lower everything else.

Yup, the mod it also totally reversible, so if you don't like it, or rather run something else, you can.

The marker will still fire a ball at 300 fps or whatever you set it to because your not changing the pressure inside the valve chamber. The reason you are installing a lighter valve spring is so that the ram doesnt need to hit the valve stem with as much force to open the valve. So basically all this is doing is decreasing the force the ram slams forward, less pressure obviously equals less force in the ram, but because you still have I believe its 200 psi in the valve chamber or 300 I cant remember, your ball is still firing at the velocity youve specified when you adjusted it. Also a little something most people dont know is that you can actually stick your finger inside the breech when your angel is at factory settings and it wont fully fire, so by dropping the pressure this will just make the force needed to stop the cycle less, ie a paintball. Thats the only real advantage of lp on the angel design of markers, at least the older generation, you get some more air efficiency not a lot. If we wanted to make an air efficient marker you would need to decrease the pressure needed to operate the noid, ram and the air chambers the air is stored in. So the angel needs a lot of re working to become major air efficient, but the new generation builds are much better on air.
