DONT FREEZE PAINTBALLS! :pat:

If nothing else, the condensation on the paintballs as they thawed out would just make them swell and get all gushy like they do when they get wet. Other than that, it would probably make the fill very different in consistency which would effect the trajectory and other flight characteristics.

yeah freezing is not really a good idea at all, the swelling as already mentioned when they thaw and also the freeze thaw cycle would cause deforming and also the fill to separate. You can still buy in bulk, just play a lot more often

paintballs stay good longer than you would think.
just run the bags on their sides once a week

well see the inside may harden after awhile considering paintballs are mainly water but the shell becomes a lot more brittle in the cold just keep them in a good temp around 70 and not too moist/dry and leave em sealed and tehy'll last a good bit

Like has been said before not a good idea. The paint is mostly water, what happens when water freezes? It expands. The shell is a semi solid, what happens when solids freeze? They contract.

My buddy use to put his in the refrigerator to keep them fresh for extended periods of time. Principal was good but when the warm air hit them the moisture caused them to turn into footballs.

Believe it or not I have a case of 3 year old paint in my cellar that I rotate weekly and keep it in a constant, humidity free temperature range of 65-70. I shot one of the bags the other day during some misc. testing and they all shot very well. Especially considering their age and quality even at the time of purchase.

freezing paintballs also get lopsided, and sometimes they explode. i have a case of severe paintballs laying in my room that i never check on, but i use em when i test out new things in my room and they have kept good for probably 2 years.

better paint will last much longer. i wouldnt mind if people froze their pbs then they wouldnt break, and the pain of frozen pbs are overrated.

this may sound a little OT, but gobstoppers seem to fit very well in the bore of by experiment barrels...i swear nothing hurts worse then being hit by one of those....OUCH
