Using a non Angel charger is definatly not recommended. The Angel chargers stop charging once the battery reaches a certain charge. Check with our sponsors (links at top of page), chargers arnt at expensive as you think, and they may have a used one kicking around that you could get for even cheaper.

I know that you don't want to spend a lot of money, and I can appreciate that. I had to buy a new battery for mine the week after I bought the marker. Anyway, you may want to look into getting the newer NiMh battery w/ a charger (between $75-100) if you have the older NiCad battery. I don't know how hard it is to find a charger for that battery, but the chances are that you won't much life on a used NiCad anyway. If it holds a charge at all, it's likely to have a "memory" with it that will only allow it to short-charge and run out quickly. If you have the tab key to turn it on, then you should just replace it w/ the upgraded battery and charger.

Sorry, your other post wasn't up yet. See if someone at the field w/ an Angel will let you borrow their charger or battery. All of the chargers are car chargers, so you should be able to charge it at the field and return the charger the same day.

It's a 6v battery. You can get a new one from any of the sponsors, but like I said, it'd be worth it to upgrade to the newer model. See if the guy selling it to you will knock off $50-60 so that you can put it towards a new battery/charger set up. I'd be worth it, and if he's got a marker w/ a dead battery and no charger, then the price should be pretty low anyway. How can you get rid of it if you can't let someone test it?

Its a 6.0v NiCad
I am at work so thats the only numbers I can give you right now. When I get home I will take it out and give you the mA on the battery and charger.
