Flashing LED on charger?

I finally got my car charger, but whenever I plug it in to the gun it starts to flash, is that normal or not? Sorry, I don't mean to sound like a newb, but i just don't want my battery to get ruined or my board to fry. Thanks for any help.

The charger, it flashes red.

BRIGHT RED LED FLASHING: indicates battery conditioning from totally discharged battery

correct just leave it plugged in and it will go solid red (bright) and then when fully charged will go green for a trickle charge.
