mem 3?

Got an ir3 off of ebay...supposedly a "demo gun" at a paintball store but it's been played...and played a FEW times.

Anyway it's mem3...is that something that's a software upgrade or does that need a new board?

It's a Warped ir3 and do they upgrade for free? Since I'm the first "owner" I have all the warranty cards.

Havent fired it yet but I couldn't imagine spending $1650 (or more) on this marker just for a bit of milling and what appears to be only mediocre annodizing.

Had a heck of a time with the intellifeed and it turns out it didn't like the servo in my hopper...had to futz around and get a servo out of an old revvy to make it work...wierd.

When you buy a warped sportz marker you pay for the milling, anodizing (which in both of mine has been SUPERB), LP internals, volumizer, custom trigger job (if you order it) and lifetime warranty. No matter what angel you buy, they should all come with the same software and board (if you buy a cheap stock ir3, it will have the same electronics as a Dark/Cobra/Bonebrake etc.) I believe mem3 is just an older version, contact warped and ask 'em, they have great customer service.

The old LCD one's came LP, looks like the new IR's don't. I hadn't read the details of the Dark IR3's 'til now (of course, why should I when I just bought THE ROCK!!)

Jason...Darks used to come with the LP internals, that was one of the selling points a couple of years ago.

yes I realize my question was asked about 13 times and since the search engine doesn't accept mem 3 I had to search for mem and the responses were out of date or all ended in "i think" or "i'm pretty sure" so my question wasn't fully answered and that's why I asked again.

One guys said he thought warped MIGHT be doing upgrades but had to send the board in and I thought maybe someone had some NEW information on the subject.

does warped replace boards to non-dark ir3 owners? and if so, how much does it cost for an upgrade?

i just bought my dark ir3 the other day and it says mem6 but i think they all shoot the same

They all shoot the same, its just a matter of cops 2 and the feel of the opto trigger.
MEM3 must be board swapped to get cops2. Mem 4 and up can be reprogrammed.
