i need some help on this. im somewhat new to the angels but i generally understand them. heres my problem i just bought a 2002 lcd and it came in yesterday. the manual says to let it charge for 7 hours. i did that. once it charged for 7 hours i went to turn it on and nothing happened when i did. so i let it charge for another hour and still nothing. anyone have any ideas on whats up with this.

are you sure it's charging? unfortunatly the manual doesn't tell you to turn it on. You have to turn the marker on, make sure it's in SAFE, and then plug in your charger. If you get the message PLUG IN your not doing it right. The battery indicator will start cascading shortly thereafter. Also if you're trying to charge it in the car try turning the car on first. You shouldn't have to keep the engine running but sometimes just turning the car on makes a difference.

it is cascading, but it only does that for about 20 minutes and then it shuts off. i plug the cigar thing into the car i flick the toggle switch on and then i plug it in.

samethign just happend to me like i try to charge it but it doesnt even turn on to say tab in and when i flip the switch it wont even make it to safe mode but somebody told me that it was a fried board from like having it in fire mode when you turn it off instead of safe and some other things like if you have the older lcd batterys they dont stop chargin or hold memory like the upgraded batterys you can get now so if you charge them for to long they just stop holding any charge at all but for what it might be worth i might just go with a new board or board swap but bc they dont produce LCD boards anymore you have to get like and A4 Speed o rIR3 board so it does cost a little to much maybe but wow i can't wait for christmas lol but yea same thing happend to me kinda sucks had a small tourny commin up but if you google angel lcd boards you can find places to do swaps for you so hey good luck

ive said it to in the past so ill guess ill say it again: try charging it in a different car, and if that doesnt work try a different car, and if that doesnt work IF u have a car charger (like one of the cheap ones at wal*mart) hook the Negative to the side prongs and hook the Positive to the bottom prong. plug it all in and turn ur angel on, it should display CHARG and the bars should start going up.
