The seal around the adjuster has been raised to allow for more precise low pressure adjustment.

The new cap design enables the AIR to run at even lower pressures than before. This mod. was done to make the system operate better on a wider range of markers (ie. Impulse, Shocker, Matrix).

Can you get that new adjuster for your A.I.R.? I had a problem where the adjusting screw got gummed up and it would not adjust at all. The whole piece would rotate insted of moveing the set screw. I was able to take it apart and fix it but if I can get that new type of adjuster then I would use that instead.
I really don't know how it holds up to getting slamm filled.
What I would suggest is making yourself a filter that installs inline when you fill. I use one everytime I fill, and have no problems. Its just a little filter with QD's on both ends. It absorbs the initial force of air, and controls the fill rate. And also pics up any contaminents that may be present.

What would it take to upgrade your current AIR to the newer version? I'm assuming you can upgrade the older AIR.

ooops...looks like my posts are getting deleted.
Sorry guys.....I will try to help as much as I can but I have no clue how long my post will remain up.
Anyway.....any of the sponsors should have the ability to add the new LPR to the AIR. The entire rebuild kit only runs about 45$.
I had a really good pic but it appears it was deleted also.......gosh darn :(
