OK here's the deal...I've got 2 essays to write for AP World History by Wednesday. The topics are: 1) Explain the significance of mutual obligation in the Middle Ages. 2) Explain the significance of the Middle Ages as the Age of Faith. I know how the Middle Ages was also the Age of Faith but I'm a little lost on the mutual obligation topic. Anybody wanna help a poor kid out?

Basically, the serf produces food for the Lord and his armies so the Lord and his armies can protect the serf.

That's the quick version.

Well said Jouster. Like he said it's kind of how given the class system they had back then how each class worked for the good of everyone involved whether it be supplying goods for protection, supplying goods for different goods, just how the classes and society functioned as a symbiont circle with everyone working to better the entire area.

how can you have all thoes ap classes? If you have an ap class it counts as a college credit, there for if all of thoes classes were ap you would be done with college by the time your out of highschool.

actually the way it works here, you have to start in an ap class at the start of high school and follow through for 3 years before they start counting as college credits...although it would be nice to have that many credits.

There is usually a test at the end that covers everything you learned in the course in addition to the final and depending on the score you get and the college you choose to attend it may count or it may not.

As time progressed however, and the industrial age occured the lords offered the serfs two options basically: 1.) You can work for me in the cities, 2.) or you can work for me but not have any of my land. This resulted in the elimination of the serf class through urbanisation. Which ended up delivering industrial development. According to Moore, I believe, the elimination of the serfs is critical for the development of democracy. BTW, if your looking for examples of serf-lord relationships definitly check out england and france. England got rid of the serfs, while french lords continued to exploit them which prevented industrial/democratic development That's about all I know off the top of my head lol don't know how much that relates to what your doing.

Yep, but then France became embroiled in Premier/Deuxieme/Troiseme Tiers (First/Second/Third Estate) battles, the result of which was both the support for democracy in America (substantially assisting the Colonies' fight against the British), and the subsequent demand of the French people for the own "Guerre de la Revolution" (and king Louis XVI's head in the bargain).

When I was I high school, a few genius students took all AP course, a year ahead in math taking AP Calc in junior year and AP Spanish junior year as well. One guy got the mystical "5.0" semester GPA. I think he went to Stanford, Caltech, Havard, Yale, Princeton, or MIT. One of my frends was smarter than all the teachers and if they made mistakes he fixed it and he was a year below me!!

AP test are easy, you just have to put about 1/2 hour aside month before exam to review and take all the practice exams available. Skim through the chapter and notes help. It's not really what you know, but what you can remember and memorize. The test is long and tiresome. Some people just quit half way through it cuz too much thinking. Think of it as a boxing match and you got to train for it.

The more AP test you pass the less work in school. That equals more party time and time for girls

yep college girls in dorms. Running around drunk and looking for you know what from anyone and running in thongs.

Thats what you high schoolers are missing out on, and pick a cool college were people party and actually talk to each other. Not like a UC Davis or Riverside were everyone is a zombie.

theres no way a freshmen can have all those AP classes unless u skipped about 2 grades or they aint real AP courses cause out of all the HS's i've been to they only offer juniors and seniors AP classes and very very rarely are there sophmores in em so that doesn't make sense idk i'm confused haha :dunno:

I went to a magent program. Essentially you do local community college courses in your field (architecture and computer science were mine) gaining college credits while also doing high school. It's possible.
