View Full Version : Whats in your tool kit?
Since numerous members are wanting to know what tools to get and are needed for the Angel this thread will be for pics of exactally that. First off you need a pimpin case to carry it all. In the second pic of my case open shows numerous spare o-ring, screws, etc still in bags to keep them from getting lost. The 3rd pic is a few tools, not including the much needed Angel Tool Kit, but a few other hand tools that come in handy like ring and needle nose pliers, pics, etc. And there is always time for lube in the last pic and other adhesives needed. Not show is the Permatex white lithuim grease I use to coat the o-rings when re-assembling parts like the lpr piston/body, ram and valve body into the gun.
Hope this helps our member out,
Hep

Just remember to leave this tool at home
Next up is a t-handle wrenches which makes life easier for taking out the grip frame, grip and flash tank screws. The second one is the infamous strap wrench to use so you dont scar the feedneck or minireg up with your dads vise grips  The strap wrench can be used when your g/f gets out of line also. Pimpin pimpin.

Ram removal tool
Yep. No longer usable on Speeds, A4's, etc., though.

but the adjustment portion sure is...and it doubles as the same piece needed to remove the cap on the AIR regs:wink:

Yep. Adjustment portion is also extra handy--it pops the top off of the LPR body. (Well, "top" is sort of relative....)

i got some OREGANO bag in my tool box to forget some PB problems and help me move on to something else to go with the beer.
I'm surprised you ain't got a bigger tool box HEP with like flying monkey helpers to hold your wrench and chase missing screws and robots to test and find problems. I mean you you being a tech and all HEP.
Maybe I got too many tools. heh

I have 2 toolboxes when I paintball: one that has all my crap for the game, and another box which I call a "Igloo Playmate" that contains 6 pack of Coors, and a pack of Kools taped to the side for easy reach. Only for after game stress relief folks!

Where can I buy the Angel Tool. I need to get my LPR out and clean it. Where can I get the tools needed that aren't sold in home depot or lowes?
all the sponsors/Master Techs of this site carry them www.angelforce.tv for a listing of the MTs or look at the links at the very top of this page.

Not pictured are my air systems, my general toolkit (pliers, screwdrivers, wrenches, etc.), my main set of Allen wrenches (I just forgot to include them), or the four guns that I'm working on at the moment. Also not pictured are the LPR's that I have stashed over over by the dyno setup.
Anyway, the first picture is all of the stuff that I keep in GAP boxes for retail sale (though I'm not against cracking them open if I need what's inside, of course!).
Next up after that is my miscellaneous kit--circlip pliers, Loc-Tite (blue, red, and "OMIGODHOWDOYOUGETITOFF!?"), some of Hep's squeegies (that I need to clean), more love juice oil and grease than you can shake a stick at, a soldering gun and solder for it, 25g Warped Airsmithing (http://www.warpedairsmithing.com) microswitches, flashlight, strap wrench, loose screws, superglue and epoxy, and--most important of all--Advil.
The third picture is my main set of boxes, divided into L.P. guns, H.P. guns, and "Universal".
The fourth picture is the Universal box (into which I stuffed a couple of Crossfire tank gauges; ignore those).
The fifth picture is the L.P. guns box. Note the EyeQ harness and ribbon cover strap, and the ludicrous number of breech block seals.

No retailer is going to stock my entire kit. I probably have over $200 in retail value of GAP-boxed parts alone.

Jouster when i first saw your toolbox i was in shock. After the 5 minute delay of shock i look at your sig to realize your a certified tech. Man dude thats ALOT lol
you gotta have the spares in your kit at all times. To fix homies guns at the field. I do it all the time. Half my time at the home field is playing and the other is helping out Angel owners who dont or cant access a MTs. I am by no means a MT but I will help out fellow Angel owners when I get or have the chance at my home field. Makes practicing sometimes hard but I will help my fella's out.

Haha... I'd be happy to sell you a clone at full retail price. I need a boat....
That said, this is nothing compared to the boxes upon boxes of parts that MT's arrive at tournaments with.

I'm also a retailer, so I get things at wholesale prices. Even so, there's quite a bit of cash in that toolkit.

Wally World, baby! It's a fishing tackle box. Great stuff! And cheap.

Sorry to bash your tool kits but I didn't see one set of vise grips. Nor a small hammer. Nor did I see a roll of duct tape. Remember if you can't duct it, chuck it.

Grab some O15 o-rings, but that looks like a competent kit for fixes in the field. Nice work. :)
Oh, and clean the rust off of your bits. It's unbecoming an Angel tech. ;)

Because I'll be doing some testing on my G7, I slightly modified my WDP Tool Kit LPR gauge so that I can now easily use it on the LPR side and the exhaust side. Now that you really need to know what operating pressures you run at but I like to know. Yeah, I'm a techie nerd.
Still have to us the exhaust pin holder that I use when using a volumizer on the G7 to measure the exhaust side's pressure.
I used some 32 degree quick disconnects for the fittings on the gauge and LPR tool.
