I know the difference in the two different love juices but I was wonder what do you use the oil for. As of right now I only use the grease for the bolt, lpr, etc.... but i dont know what i would use the oil for especially from the looks of things the internal parts use grease only.

you should not be putting grease on the bolt...stop doing that NOW.
as for the oil, there is an oil service recommended on the marker every 8k shots. You need to put 2-5 drops in the minireg inlet...then air up the marker and commence dry firing it until the oil has worked it's way through the marker. Then take out the bolt and wipe it clean...you should be good to go after that.

so i shouldnt put the love juice "gun grease" on the bolt? I thought I should because when I got my marker the bolt was all greasy. The grease im talking about is the one that wdp makes (the injection one).

DO NOT put anything on the bolt. Yes, when you got your gun there was a film on it. You should wife it off and keep your bolt clean. Delrin is "self lubing", it doesn't need anything. Oiling or greasing your bolt can cause it to swell up and them you'll have a real mess on your hands.

Damn! I already played one whole day with my bolt greased. The only thing I saw that happened was that my bolt was scratched up. Could have anything else happened that i dont know about yet. Thanks for your help you guys

As long as your bolt is moving freely back and forth in the breech you should be ok. Just wipe everything off including the breech.

You should wife it off

That's what happens when you have a 1 year old tearing up your house and you're waiting for your wife to get back home so you can relax for a bit.

Um are we sure he has a delrin bolt? cause if he has a neoprene one then putting some oil on it doesnt hurt at all. But dont use grease on it just some oil. If your bolt is black and has 8 holes in it and came stock with the marker out of the box then you dont have delrin.

I have the new fly, with everything stock in it. So if i have the neoprene bolt its ok to put oil on it? If so how often would I put oil on it.

You have a delrin bolt in the Fly.

i've never seen an angel bolt made out of anything but delrin
why would they make it out of anything else anyways, delrin does the job perfectly

You need to put 2-5 drops in the minireg inlet...then air up the marker and commence dry firing it until the oil has worked it's way through the marker.
I just want to get this straight...for i am a new angel user. I have the new fly, and i should be putting drops of oil in the minireg inlet after shooting 8k or so. Is there anywhere else I would use the oil? I know for sure your not suppose to put drops of oil into where the tank screws in. The technical name for it i do not know.
Emmit
04-10-2004, 11:56 PM
you can put the oil into the ASA (that's what your tank screws into) that's fine, it's the same as the minireg inlet since the next logical place for the oil to go is into the minireg...
thog94
04-10-2004, 11:56 PM
Yes put a few drops (about 5) in the macro line going to the minireg. Shoot about 20 times or so, it will distribute the oil through the internals and you should be good to go.

Emmit, my friend told me that you should not put oil into the ASA, he was told at the tech class in HB that you should not do that.
Emmit
04-11-2004, 12:13 AM
why not?
it's the same as putting it at the inlet to the minireg...you put a couple of drops of oil in the ASA and then screw the tank in, turn the on/off until it pressurizes the gun and you're ready to rock and roll..
perhaps you're getting confused with putting oil in the fill nipple, this you should NEVER do.

Maybe...I will call my friend and get to the bottom of this. But you should know best. Dont mean to doubt you Emmit. Just gotta be very cautious...especially with all the money i spent on it.

my marker shows up "need oil service immediately" on my A4, and i put 3 drops in the macro line and 1 drop on the bolt as advised from my pro shop. I do it fire 100 shots or so and i still get the message. whats up with that? so i try to take the hammer thinking maybe it needs to get cleaned. well thats my first mistake.
i found my sensi board. and tryed to clean the hole with the strip in it with a q tip and the strip broke off. no more sensi. then i put the board back on and i notice a plug detached while i was missing with the sensi so i plus it back in and i notice my LCD doesnt work properly anymore. no more LCD.
Now im scared i have a thousand dollar gun that I just tore up. I wish there was a tech video that came with this marker. its impossible to care for. I went to the pro shop before and they refused to do any service infront of the customer its like they want to do the services for me and charge for it every 8,000 shots. man now i need to get alot of mods done. and the funny thing is i still need a oil service immediatly. Can you please tell me where i can send this too so i can please get this marker back to me asap.
also im not a typical angel owner with big money i was saving up for a retro fit kit. now im all screwed for that. please reply

My LCD Screen recently read " Need Oil Service Immediately", so i put 3 drops of oil in the macro line and 1 drop on the bolt as advised from my pro shop. I do it dry fire 100 shots or so and i still get the message. So i try to take out the hammer thinking maybe it needs to get cleaned. well thats my first mistake. I couldnt get the hammer out so i thought maybe i need to unscrew the Grips. note i did not have the mauel at the time with me. I read it before hand more then once so i thought it would be cake. Anyhow
i found my sensi board. and tryed to clean the hole with the strip in it with a q tip cause it had paint in it! so i Q tip it and the strip broke off. Boom no more sensi. then i put the Sensi board back in. which i felt was a pain. and i notice a plug detached on my handle which i think went in my seli not my hopper. so i plug it in that one. Then i turn it on and i notice my LCD doesnt work properly anymore. After inspecting it i find that a pice of the film like attachment of my Lcd got ripped. Boom no more LCD. and while i was struggling to alighn the seni board back in with the top half of the marker i ripped the yellow chord out of the cheap foil on the side of my marker. Boom no more cheap Foil.
Now im scared i have a thousand dollar gun that I just tore up.
I wish there was a tech video that came with this marker like what handguns and rifles and shotguns come with our a tour that shows how to care for the gun and the pieces that go in it. its impossible to care for. it really is. like once you open the back face plate a spring jumps right in your eye. i was like you little $^$^$4.
I went to the pro shop before and they refused to do any service infront of the customer its like they want to do the services for me and charge for it every 8,000 shots.
Mos paintball shop in Miami! for all you people wonderin where that shop is!.
Man now i need to get alot of mods done. and the funny thing is I still need a oil service immediatly. Can you please tell me where i can send this to, so i can please get this marker back to me asap.
Also im not a typical angel owner with big money actually im rather poor. no job in 2 months since i got back from Bootcamp. now im in the Reserves. i was saving up for a retro fit kit. now im all screwed for that. If this hadnt happened i was all set to get one.
please reply

all that plus one of the hoppers was broken the halo of course. it didnt come with a Proteus mask like he promised and he gave me a cheap High pressure steel 48/3000 tank that i couldnt even use on my marker. I wish you can still call people out and shoot them like the old westerns.
but on the serious note. MTs please help me out. Im tired of getting my Butt hole ripped apart from constant Screwing.
PS. Im in the Army Reserves so i help protect this wonderful country with my life so all you guys can paintball with safety and freedom. and all i have on me is barely enough to get that retro fit kit on May.

Just to get everything straight about genderal care and cleaning. In the operator's manual it says, "The frequency of lubrication should be at least every event or 8000 shots for oil lubricaiton and 20,000 shots for grease lubrication". Can someone clarify to what exactly needs to be done at 8000 and 20,000 shots. I just want to properly clean my gun. Sorry for the noob question. Thank you. By the way I have the new Fly.

8k, 2-5 drops of oil in the ASA. Dry fire about 20-30 times, wipe off bolt and breach. 20k, you're supposed to take out the Ram and grease the o-rings, and I think LPR body o-rings also. I'm not totally sure on this parts since I have'nt gotten their yet. :) But the oiling instructions are good.
Emmit
05-11-2004, 07:24 AM
easy way to remember it...about every 4-5 cases run about 2 or 3 drops of oil through the minireg inlet (that means take your macroline off and put the oil there then reattach the macroline)
about every 3rd month remove and grease the ram and LPR o-rings.

Ain't it great that Angels are well-nigh indestructible? Five years, no oil, and still going strong. You gotta love it....
