I had a thought, and seeing as how all other avenues of entertainment for the evening have been all but exhausted, I thought I'd post it. Is there any more drain on the battery with the Fly because of the eyes?

Not enough for you to notice. Its the same idea as a rev, and you know how long the batteries last on those. You can run a set of eyes for a long time on very little juice. I would say it draws less power than running intellifeed on an LCD, and those last forever.

The thing is... the yes 'pulse.' It's not a constant beam. They're constantly checking the chamber. Thus by pulsing you use a lower amount of power.

Still expect 300,000 cycles off a charge when used in ambient temperatures.
