i tried to drain my speeds battery, left it on for a couple of hours and later Thought i would check the battery meter for fun cuz i was thinking it would still show full and not work like Ive been hearing, but to my surprise it was showing 75%. the next day i checked it again and it showed max....
:dunno: my speed is solar powered :awesome:

i dont think that battery meter is accurate in the least bit. one day it showed mine 75%. i was shooting it a bit and then all of a sudden my battery goes dead. i couldnt believe that my battery went from 75 to zero within like a case of paint. so now, i just charge my gun every other week i play since it doesnt hurt the battery anyways.

the battery on speeds are Nimh. you don't need to drain them before charging to achieve full charge of the battery. They don't have memories like the Nicds. :)

I don't think really any of the battery meters work (please correct me if I'm wrong). Some people say they jump all over the place, others say they may not go up all the way and mine never goes down below 100% no matter how much I shoot it. In general, I tell people not to trust it and recharge the thing every few cases if possible.

often when you turn the marker off, you can turn it back on and it will have built up a little bit of a charge....it will quickly go down however.

i ran my speed battery out(which took along time cuz it has liek an autooff which i didnt know of) and it went from 75% then i finally almost drained it completley so it would barely go on then off. I plug my charger in then took it off my gun and it was only charnging for like a min and it said it was fully charged :wall: im amazed. I let it charge over night before playin though

the nickel metal hydride batteries can still develop memories however, they do not develop memories as severe as the old nickad batteries...keep that in mind when you are charging it...
