I just got my new Force volumizer and i lost my manual a while ago. I have an angel tool kit and i wanna know how i actually set my LPR. Also any really good settings would be helpful too because i don't really know what to set them at. Thanks.

Actually you can get a copy of the manual online at wdp.tv

Most people chose to use Ken Crane's (Hes a master tech, and runs performanceangel.com) force 4 settings on their speed. It works. I dont ask questions.
--------------------------
longest volumizer
lpr 55
dwell 17
input pressure 350
evo II
rof max
sensi on
sensi 4
--------------------------
To adjust your LPR you need the LPR gauge and the LPR removal tool. (Check out the attached pictures). Remove the plug, screw in the LPR gauge, check out the LPR pressure by airing up your gun. Make sure the gun is degassed before removing the gauge again. Screw in the LPR removal tool, pull the LPR out, remove a shim to lower the LPR pressure, add a shim to raise the LPR pressure. Reinsert the LPR, unscrew the LPR removal tool, screw in the LPR gauge, check pressure again. Repeat untill you have the pressure that you want. Once you have the pressure that you want, add in the volumizer rather than the plug. The volumizer will not lower the pressure, it just lets you run a lower pressure without dropoff due to the larger volume of air readily availible to the LPR.

Hey Rusha, I presume that you have a Speed. (Hey Vantage, nice pics bro...BUT, if he has a Speed, everything is opposite.) Rusha follow those instructions, but the LPR in on the right and the exhuast in on the left. (AS YOU LOOK AT THE GUN!!!) OR, I am just looking wrong??

Yes that is right..
If you look down the barrel of the gun, the valve is on the left side (don't need to mess with it), and the lpr is on the right (where you'll put the gauge on)

Thanks guys, i have 1 more question. I have an on/off for my gun, so i can just screw/unscrew that to gas and degass the gun, but yet as you guys know the angel keeps a little air in it so when i have the gauge in and i go to degass it after i have checked the LPR, the angel has some air in it still, should i shoot that little bit out with the gauge still in there or not? Because i'd rather not unscrew the gauge even if there is only a little air in the gun.

Thanks, Spiff, I thought I was right. You're prob think about the old Angels there Gomer!

Rusha, I would go ahead and shoot that off. Get all of the air out of the gun.

It's VERY important that you degauss the gun everytime you want to mess with the internals.. You don't want any piece inside to fly out and cause injury..

Does anyone have one of those Master Tech Volumizers with those settings Ken Crane listed? If so i would just like to know how high the kick of the gun is and about how many shots it gets off a 68/4500 tank.

Talfuchre uses dwell of 12, a LPR of 75psi, with a performanceangel.com volumizer and he gets around 1,500 shots off a fill. Expect between 1,300 and 1,800, which is plenty for any game situation.

There's absolutely no problem with shooting the gun with the LPR gauge in. In fact, you probably want to do so, to make sure your LPR is "snapping" correctly.
There are some procedures, including an LPR adjustment routine complete with purty pikshurs, on AngelFAQ.com (http://www.AngelFAQ.com).

Hey did anyone notice that the post with the pics said to put the volumizer on the lpr side, this make no sense to me.

On a pre-Speed Angel, volumizers did nothing for the performance of the marker. They were easy-to-remove endcaps, and that's about it.
The Speed and subsequent markers shortened the battery, and used the extra space to drop in the LPR on that side, allowing you to add volumizers behind the exhaust valve to lengthen the main pressure chamber and (finally!) actually affect performance.
Did that clarify things?

So the deal is a volumizer on the valve side will allow you to run at a lower pressure (which I totally get), and a volumizer on the lpr said will provide more air to the lpr preventing dropoff at low lpr pressure. Please correct me if Im wrong.

Nope, I've been assured several times, by Ken, Frazer, and John Rice, that a volumizer on the LPR side does nothing for the performance of the marker. I'd explain it if I understood it, but I don't, so....
But I think they're pretty well-qualified to state something as gospel, eh?
