I can't findthe Hydride wall outlet chargers for the Speed Hydride batteries, I've heard of peopple using normal battery chargers to accomplish this without paying a huge wad of cash to WDP for a kit.

Anyone know what I should look for in a Normal battery charger so I can charge my speed, what voltages etc. I don't know much about electricity and charging and stuff so if you can give me some info toa sk the sales guy or look for on the box, that would be great.

Thanks!

I bought SPEED from ebay and guy didn't send me a charger :(
I was waitng about month for a package :( and ther wasn't any f*** charger - shame on him :(

I borrow car charger from my friend who is also using SPEED.
After Opening i noticed all parts and found .pdf scheme (http://www.national.com/JPN/ds/LM/LM2575.pdf) of LM1575 LM2575 LM2575HV SIMPLE SWITCHERŽ 1A Step-Down Voltage Regulator which is the most important of PCB board.

Also I've connected the charger to my car and using multimeter I checked chargingg voltage which was about 13.0-13.2 V. It might change when battery would be connected.
I checked few simmilars phone chargers and noticed that NOKIA inductive charger (light and fast one, not heavy one:P ) have simmilar charging voltage and plug. It's only 500 mAh charging and it would be nice if someone would tell us what is a capacity of battery then we would calculate how much it has to be charged.

Can sb tell me how long does battery charge on factory car charger ?
Car charger gives 600mA so when you tell me how long usually do you charge your battery then it would be easy to calculate how much do I need to charge with temporarily charger.

I have not tried it but and don't try this at home...

Rat shack sells an adjustable charger 1.5v - 12v, and has different models for different mA, they have different ends, so you will get the end you need. I personally do not want to be the tester here, but I do not see why it would not work with the correct v and mA. The adapter is @ $10.00 us.

The car charge with the supplied charger is a little over 4 hours.

Radio Shack makes a couple of adapters that you can buy, but it sounds more like what you guys are after is the actual charger. Your best and safest bet is to buy a charger from one of the sponsors.

Yea, I jus need a charger, that doesn't cost 40$.

I' sick of leaving my speed in my moms car for 4 hours to charge. I'm not particularily fond of my neighbourhood either.

Where I can buy charger without battery ?
I live in Eastern Europe so I look for shop which send international

Local WDP dealer wants to much and sells only charger+battery packs for about 250$ so it's insane.

Shadow...Radio Shack has adapters which will meet your needs, search the forums for threads giving examples of the exact model number people are using.

Koziol...our sponsors often ship internationally, however the customs and shipping charges may well outweigh what you would pay for it locally.

6.4 lbs (~4.5 kg) Package by USPS costed me 40$ and it was 5 days when it arrived.
UPS and FEDEX are more more expensive - they wanted about 160$-200$ for thing that USPS did for 40$.

Charger is much more lighter so I suspect it will cost about 10$ to send it.
