Ok i personally kno nothing about angels and my only gun has been a tippmann 98 and im so hooked on getting one of these but theres been some things ive heard that i didnt like first off my friends tell me that the angels are way too fragile and they break all the time and if it breaks it costs a lot to get fixed how often does your angels break down cuz i dont want this thing to break down all the time and spend a fortune to fix it or having sit on my shelf for a long time till i get enough money to fix it....whats your opinion..

Thanks
Nick

Once you get it tuned up adjusted, they are just about zero maintainence. My Angel LED and Speed need less work than my Tippmann ever did. I had an issue with the battery on my Speed when I first got it, but that's it. Works great now.

But, you should plan to spend a good amount of time understanding the marker. The instruction manual is very detailed and helpful for this. Get the Angel toolkit ($50) and if it ain't broke don't fix it.

No offense to your friend but I think I'm talking about him in #2 and #3 of the following post.

cyeh01 : Great post.

Mostly, it seems to me like Angels are durable enough to serve you well even if you don't know much about it. Or, you can learn a ton and get it tuned up yourself. The second option is probably the better one if you're willing.

The problems come when you know nothing, but insist on tweaking anyway. Seems like most people who go this route end up blaming the marker.

I knew nothing about my LED when I got it. I did nothing to it but put some oil through it every so often, and it never gave me any trouble. I've taken a lot more time to learn about my Speed, and it also has treated me well - aside from some issues with the battery which are all sorted now.

korn123 : Common wisdom at my field is that cockers & timmys go down easily. Angels & Vikings never seem to go down. I'm not saying that's universal by any means at all. Just saying that, at least around here, Angels have a great reputation for reliability.

nothing should happen to your Angel just dont beat it like a tippmann, i slipped in mud and dropped my speed in a foot deep pile of mud , it wroked for the rest of the day, but when i got hope i took that thing apart and cleaned every little part of it

As with any sort of item, if you take care of your equipment, your equipment will take care of you. That's why officers always clean their guns, soldiers and hunters clean their rifles and people take care of their things.

After a heavy day of play disassemble your Angel and clean it, then reassemble it with a little lube on the o-rings, lube every 8000 shots or before a tournament, and grease her ever 20,000 shots. Take care of your Angel and she'll take care of you on the field.

Hmm, well, I got a speed and haven't used it much, but, by coming onto a forum named.. Angel-Owners.com
I think you'll get a heavily biased opinion. I would also check out a timmy forum aswell, or whetever else ur interested in so u cans ee the full range of love that goes out.

I love my angel, but I think he should get what he feels comfy with..not what 50 people that own what he buys tells him.

Yea I know, thats what I'm saying though, everyone is going to be biased about their own equipoment, because no one spends 1000+$ on something they don't like.

Best thing, go out and go to a few shops and handle a few markers, if you like the feel then go for it, most people at a field will even let u take their stuff out for a game or too. Get a feel for the angels at ur local shop, see if u liekt he frame etc. Personally,m the space fram tkes time to get used to, but I got used it.

yep and dont be afraid to talk to people about their guns and ask questions.
