I just got the speed yesterday. But I cant sustain a string for anything. Im running a z-board egg (could get my hands on a halo) and it seems like about every ten shots I have to wait a good second or two for the thing to start shooting again. I know this is the sensi working and its doing its job, but Im just wondering what mode you all suggest to keep my string going.

If you are going to rip and keep ripping, then use mode 3 or 4. With mode 3, it should prevent chops. With mode 4 there is a slight delay in the firing.

cool I think I was in mode 2 is that normal behavior for a gun in mode 2

I use mode two, but I only have peak moments for a high ROF, which is what mode 2 is for. I have never had that problem. MY problems is usally that my old finger tire out LOL!!

Im not real sure where emmitsburg is but if its close to the ohio/wv border its probably like a 4 hour drive.

FYI, Emmitsburg is about 1 hour North of DC and about 15-20 mins South of Gettysburg, PA. Thanks, CYA

That delay is due to the fact that Egg's have a pretty good delay in the feeding while they wait for the sensor to detect a gap in the ball stack, and sensi won't fire until a ball is loaded. If you turn sensi off or use a different mode, you might chop.

Ye i was sorta noticing the same thing iam on sensi mode 2 and i would get a nice stream of like 7 or 8 balls then it would slow down and shoot 3 or 4 balls slow and then jump up quick to a 7 or 8 ball rope then drop down again to 3 or 4 balls. iam using a halo. i wasnt sure if my fingers or thats the way sensi mode 2 is

Im going to strap a halo on it today and see how it shoots. I really like that the sensi works that well but I would love to be able to throw longer streams.

When you strap on the halo make sure that you have fresh batteries in, make sure your detents are in good condition, and if you do happen to chop a ball because of your halo take off your detents and stretch out the springs on them, this will give more tension to the detent preventing an over feed.

Got it, Thats the only reason I worry about using the halo is because of it pushing past the detents.

Stretched strings will deal with that nicely. Or stiffer springs. You could look into the Warped Sports Iron Cross detents those might have a stiffer spring on them.

Strapped a halo on it tonight and the thing ripped, so I naturally bought one. I think I might send my egg2 back to viewloader to see if there is something wrong with it. Honestly their shouldnt be such a huge difference between the two of them.

I love my speed I traded a 03 shocker for it, and I will never go back to smart parts stuff (amazing I live an hour from smart parts and have always shot their guns I cant believe I just said that). What can I do my speed mows. I cant wait to play with it at madness this weekend. Thanks for all the help guys.

No prob, glad you are ripping. When I get closer to my dates in June, I'll look you up. Maybe we can get together and show what SPEEDS CAN DO BABY!!!!

I would disagree with everyone saying to get a halo. The egg is the best for the speed. It is not a hit or miss with chopping. If you are seeing pause, I would suggest doing a search on this sit with the key words "Pause Issue". You will find all kinds of great knowledge on it. I had the pause issue. I use a egg w/z-board. I took mine to Ken Crane at Performanceangel.com. He had to adjust my leaf spring. I would suggest you do the same. I will be killa.

I have a lot of pause also, but its funny that post you said above, cuz the pause only happened once ken crane lightened my trigger. I hope he didnt accidently mess up my leaf spring. My trigger is very light, so i think it may be messed. ill ask ken next time i talk to him

Hard to believe that it has something to do with anything other than the hopper when as soon as I strapped the halo on the gun shot great. Who knows maybe you have a special egg.

I had a y-board and a z-board both gave my no chops. I had a halo and I sold it it cuz it made my speed a blender.
