Is the only way to access the seni rod in order to clean it, by taking off the grip frame pulling the sensi rod down, cleaning it and then putting it back in?

yes....you can't pull it out the top, and it's enclosed in the grip frame....so yeah, take that bugger off.

I want to add:
How do you guys clean the hole that your sensi sits in? I chopped a paintball because I left sensi off by accident... I've cleaned the breach/bolt, and sensi, but I figured there could still be some paint/debris in the hold where the sensi goes...
suggestions?

I have an idea. Why not use the sensi rod as a cleaner? Just push it through the hole and see if any gunk or anything comes out. I don't know if there is anything smaller that can fit in there.

The problem with that is if there is paint in there it's still going to be stuck on the rod, not allowing it to freely travel. Some people have used q-tips. I usually use a can of compressed air (ones you clean your keyboard/computer with) to help push any debris out.

there's a couple of choices....you can get some pipe cleaners from the local hobby shop, q-tips work if you remove a little bit of it, and those cans of compressed air like you'd use for cleaning a PC work great too.
