i was just wondering if someone can tell me, assuming i was to bend my opto leaf on my board, would this affect how the board detects whether the trigger has been pulled or not (meaning whether the optical beam interprets the activation point of the trigger different)

i also have one more little question that has been bothering me as well...i have my trigger set short and the point of activation of fire is around the middle of the pull, however i was pulling the trigger today EXTREMELY slow to find out where the gun "clicks" i then found that spot and did not go any further, however released EXTREMELY slowly and i noticed that it doesnt reset until almost the beginning of the pull of the trigger....this is confusing question and im sorry buts its been bugging me...lol...any help with these questions would be greatly appreciated

It will still operate the same exact way, its just that with the leaf spring bent it will activate sooner or later since you're either shortening the travel or lengthening dependent upon which way you bend.

i have no idea what he's describing in the second part of the post..

i think he's referring to ease of trigger use and if he screws in the pre-travel screw (the front one) the activation of the opto board will be at the end of the pull. So u have some more slack b4 the trigger engages the board which IMO is better for walking the trigger.
So more pre-travel, less post-travel = easier walking

dunno but i think thats what he meant..hope it helps

what i mean in the second part is that the trigger does not reset immediatly before the point of activation...i was just wondering if this is normal

no.. ofcourse it's not normal if there's a delay

your trigger is probably set too close to the activation point, back out your TOE screw just a tad

I believe the second part of the question was to say that hypothetically speaking when he depresses the trigger it takes say half way through the pull to activate the opto board. But he basically has to let the trigger go completely in order for the opto board reset for the next shot.
