I have an Pure Energy 850psi preset screwed into a THOR reg on my IR3. The only reason I bought the THOR was because the manual said that 600psi was the optimum input pressure. Short of buying a new adjustable air system, I figured this was the best way to get that.

Now, it turns out that the THOR is a pile and no matter how I adjust it down to 600psi, it always creeps back up to the preset pressure. I have noticed absolutely no adverse effects from shooting at this pressure.

Is it ok to run at the preset pressure? Should I pitch the THOR and make my marker lighter in the process? I should note that a new air system is not an expense I can afford right now.

running a preset reg is just fine. As long as you're still using the mini-reg that came no the marker you'll be set. A lot of people all over the world are using pre-set screw in tanks on Angels.

like we've been saying...leave your bottle reg at about 800 or so, and then you'll be just fine.

Your reg seat in the THOR is bad and needs to be replaced. Very simple procedure just get your local shop to order you the THOR rebuild kit, takes about 10 minutes to rebuild it.

If you duel reg you angel, getting the thor to work @ 600psi, and use you reg that you get with you angel to adjust you velocity, you will get more consistant velocity and alittle better efficincy.

When I set up my angel lcd, I preset the Angel reg @ 450 psi, and my nitroduck @ 500 psi, I have only had to adjust the velocity one or two times this past year.
