we have found the sweet settings and they blaze.

Quoted from an earlier post by Ken.

It's been four days since then.

Any idea when they will be up?????

Not quite, the aire passages for the LPR have been made more efficient.

If they were the same I'm sure Ken would not have made the comments about the sweet setting being found. We'll see I suppose. :tunes:

Funnily enough..... Your right.!!!!

Word from Frazer at WDP is the following:

dwell 12
lpr 55
mini reg 200
tr 12-15

Apparently, these are the 'initial' setting that should be used until the marker has been 'run in' as they like to say.

Then, I assume, the first thing to change is the LPR.

some of the things they were changing if I remember correctly was the electronic settings...unfortunately for the guys on Arsenal they only received their Fly's like the day before the event, so the techs were busy setting them up for them. There was a lot of experimentation all weekend on their markers. Over the course of the 4 days they managed to shoot a lot of paint, and really get those markers broken in and always back to the booth for more tweaking. Chances are that nobody wrote anything down, so it will be a significant amount of tweaking on the users part. As for breaking in the marker...I know that I don't change anything on the marker until I've at least run about 4 cases through it, then I start making changes. At that point the marker has just had a chance to start seating itself properly IMO>

<<unfortunately for the guys on Arsenal they only received their Fly's like the day before the event>>

Not too clever considering all the hype surrounding this team.

Anyway, I'll run a couple of boxes through then play with settings and post back. :x:

depends upon how you look at it Pole...the markers only arrived in the States in time for the event to begin with, so even their marquee team couldn't get their hands on the new ones until then.

I just can't believe WDP didn't get a bunch of pre-production FLYs to their biggest team in plenty of time for this event. It's no big deal, I'm just really surprised.
I'm gonna have my FLY for a week before my next tourny but I won't use it unless I've had time to break it in and set it up. :pissed:

Hey enya, just curious...what about the Halo was better than the Egg with a Z-board? I ask only because I already have the Egg with a Z and would like to avoid buying ANOTHER loader.

So you leave your marker at factor settings, in order to seat itself. What is the reason behind this? Could anything bad happen to your marker if don't break it in. Reason I asked is because I tryed out some settings prior to seating. Thank you for you time Emmit.

that's my suggestion....but others might have different thoughts on it...I leave mine alone for at least the first 3 or 4 cases or so.

One more question...sorry to bother you like this. Just wondering if the angel 4 stock trigger is the same as the angel fly stock trigger. Reason i ask is because i wanted to swap my crome angel 4 stock trigger with my angel fly stock trigger. sorry to bother you with this silly question.

Nope. The two are compatible, but they are not the same.

I prefer the Slayer trigger (stock one on the Fly) over the stock 4 trigger. That was the first "real" upgrade I did, and it made a world of difference.

If you feel more comfortable with the stock 4 trigger, by all means use it.

I got my FLY, ran a full case of paint through it, and of course, a load of dry firing to set the trigger and just generally 'playing' around with it.

Then I changed the setting to those above. Played my first tournament since I've had it yesterday and it was rockin'.

Didn't break/chop a ball all day. I was playing centre so I probably shot more paint than the rest of my team all day. It was a nice change to have a good day without any problems for once.

The Fly comes with the Slayer trigger which is only available in black. The stock trigger was available in the silver on almost all markers (there were a few color schemes that came with a black one). The Force trigger however comes in both silver and black and can be purchased from any of the Force team.

dlimelight, why would you want to swap triggers?????

The Slayer trigger design lends itself to be able to rip a little easier.

Try the Slayer for a few games. My first impression was that I liked the Stock A4 trigger better. It just 'felt' nicer.

The Slayer is much better once your used to it. It's like everything, people are scared of change. Try the Slayer before you change it. It will take a while to get used to it, but it's better in the longrun.......

I think Emmit got a point there, the Factory setting is the "normal" adjustment for the marker. So I think it would be best to leave it alone until all the parts have become friends :)

Has anyone come out with the settings the guys were using at HB yet? Been a while so I thought I might have missed them!

well since they were tuned by the master techs their setting probably looked like ken's settings

Nah. The fly has reworked LPR channels, and its stock LPR pressure is below Ken's settings.

But it doesn't really matter; just work your LPR down until you start noticing dropoff that can't be cured by dwell or until the loss in air efficiency starts to bother you.
