We play a lot of woodball around here, everyone in Boutetourt has 5+ acres, and set up pretty nice (the whole 9 yards: bunkers, tree houses, ditches, tires, etc.). There's one speedball field in Salem called High Velocity.

It's at the old Action Tagg/Ballbusters field. I don't recall the street name, but if you come down 17, take the bypass around and get off on the Foreman Bundy exit you'll see sign's to direct you the rest of the way. At that point it's only a couple miles to the field.

9:00 to 4:00 Saturday and Sunday.

Take Hwy 17 Bypass South to Exit 256 (forman Bundy road). Turn left off of 17. Go to next traffic light and turn right. Go about 1/10 mile to first left hand turn.
Turn left.

Go about 100 yards and turn left again.
Go about 1/4 mile and you'll see the Pirate Paintball sign on the sign of the road. Turn left.

Drive about 2/10 mile til you see the field.

It was very wet down there last weekend and this weekend's weather doesn't look any more promising. I also asked the owner if they would be open on Easter Sunday and he said probably not. So if you want to play this weekend, Saturday is the day. I will say that if you want to play when there are more people there, you should go on Sunday.

You can get the owner's number from the website. I usually call before I head down there to make sure they've got some people down there already. But if you're taking your team down, that's not an issue either.

i will say there are too many HWY 17's and 17 bypasses and 17 business routes to make it particularly clear and easy to find. My instructions above will work if you can find 17 bypass.
