Does anybody know or remember the optimum resistance setting of the dwell using an ohm meter?

There is no set optimum. The dwell sets how long the 14-way stays open(ie, how long the valve stays open). It is tuned to each individual marker. Imagine for a second, that two markers had exactly the same dwell, but one had a larger valve. The one with the larger valve would vent more air in the amount of time than the other. So, you want to set the dwell to use the least amount of air, and still give you the maximum fps over the chrono. That's why the factory instructions are to turn the dwell all the way up, then shoot over a chrono while you turn it down. As soon as the velocity starts to drop off, stop and turn it back just a hair. That will be the most efficient setting. Any higher than that, and you'd just be wasting air. I know others have different opinions, but that's my $.02.

but we use about 2k....usually
Hope that helps answer your question

Thanks Bob, that's what I was looking for. It's so much easier to adjust with dwell this way.

Just to add something. Using a ohm meter might not be a bad idea if you don't wan't to use the velocity meathod. Depending on whos board is in your gun the dwell pot rotation is different.
The factory board increases dwell by turning the dwell pot counter clockwise. With a Zip chip it's clockwise. If nothing else, you might want to verify the resistance values in each dirrection before you start.
