angel fly board?

Its physically the same board, but has different software for the eyes. The big question is can they reprogram existing boards or do you need a new board if you want to retrofit the eyes. This should be answered as soon as the retrofit information is released.

i heard that they had to remake the whole board. because of how the new eyes plugged into the board.

mm that kind of sucks for people wanting to get the retrofit done because now that means more $$$...unless you do a trade in where they take your old board...that might make it cheaper(?)

also, which models is the retrofit available for? (or has this info not been released yet?)

well i have a speed and would rather have two boards... just in case one broke... and they have not said anything about which models it includes...we know a4 for sure... but not sure about anything else. I have a feeling they are still working out some bugs with the speed retrofit kit...

right now i have a a4 board in my speed and i love it i just want to put eyes on it w/out putting a was board or another aftermarket board on it so i was wondering if they used a a4 board for the fly and put eyes on it, so from what u guys are saying is that they mdified the board to except eyes right? cool well thanks for all the help i appreciate it!!!! brian

From what I've ready here on this board, and in speaking with some angel techs here in California most likely the A4, the Speed and later models will be able to be retrofitted, but don't hold your breath on the old LCD's, LED's or IR3's

cool... that would be great! I just hate the fact they haven't said for sure yet.... Meanwhile I'm wasting time on pre-ordering the new fly. I want to know if my speed can be retrofitted...... if not I'm going to buy a fly or force. With my luck... they will wait another week... and the speed will not be included.... and I'll miss on the first run of flys because I was waiting on a :321: press release date.

I thank god they came out with something like this so that way I dont have to spend anymore money on another angel, I could put this board on my speed,.. SWEET! plus I would'nt wanna get another angel, I would like my speed to get that board so It have a unique look to it, a Speed body with an A4 Fly board haha!

The fly board is not the same as the A4 board. The COPS socket has been replaced with a ZIF (zero insertion force) ribbon slot for the eyes.

Absolutely. The problem is that you'll lose your SENSI ability unless you get the retrofit kit.

that's kind of how I read it...yes you can get the Fly board with Eyeq on a Speed, you simply have to wait for the Tech's to release the info, there's a whole section dedicated to it now. Try reading it for a little while.

Same Board, it justs has the EYE's instead of the LDS, has a higher ROF (On the Extra modes), and it has the extra "Ultra Safe Deomostration Mode".
