I'm more interessted in the price of the retro kit... It looks like you will need to drill in the frame or replace the entire frame. I know other ACE kits also require to drill holes, but I'm worried that the WDP kit will be too expensive (but I hope it will be doable, my a4 is like 2 months old).

Jeremy, no I agree with you. I don't think it's any faster than the 4/Speed.

The only real benefit as far as I can tell will be it will perhaps work better with a Halo than Sensi. Having said that, it may not.

If you look at the video frame by frame (which is tricky to do because the frame rate will have been reduced for the web) it *seems* to be about 19/20 BPS.

I still look forward to having a go though :)

well since it's still using the a4 board and it has only a 1bps higher cap than the speed board, you can safely assume that it's not faster than what a speed can do... unless you consider 1bps a big difference

How do you know it's using the A4 board? It will have to at least have significant software differences to account for the eye software.

The question is not that whether the Fly will be mechanically different (in terms of ram, LPR, bolt etc), but rather will an eye have any potential to be quicker than pressure pads as a PDS?

If the eye is a quicker PDS (in terms of being able to sense a ball and then tell the board it's ready to fire) then the Fly marker has the potential for the user to be able to fire it quicker than a classic 4 or Speed.

How can it be using the 4 board Moogle? The operating mechanics of an eye are completely different that the SENSI and operations such as calibration are not even necessary. I think I read somewhere that it was called the new Fly 4 board.

I'd imagine the board itself (hardware) will be similar to the A4 board, which is identical to the IR3 board. The big difference (which we never see) is in the software. Heck I wouldn't be surprised if they find a way to wire the eyes under the receiver, through the trigger frame tray and make it fit right into the COPS plug. Might as well!

Just picture the eyes as the replacement to COPS. You'll probably still have the option to use the marker with the Eyes off and there will probably still be a test/configure mode.

I've always seen him as having something against electronic markers...whether it's perception or reality I don't know...just the way I see it...He does seem to have more hate for WDP that some of the others tho.

Hating a bad product is one thing. I have no problem with someones opinion long as there are some bases to it. But to rag on a gun that hasnt even been released to the public is just lame. I am sorry but i am agreeing with doc, the sensi and COPS are pieces of crap and the break beam tech. is simply amazing, ill give the DM4 that, angels are by far some of the nicest electros, they require little if no maitnence, the techs do amazing things with them, and they do have pretty nice milling, as a downside, every paint detection system they have tried up to date isn't worht the scrap material they are made of, the anno while it looks nice, is junk, and i never cared for the infinity, and their rises did need improvement. but when it comes to it they are much better than trixes, timmies, shockers, impys, bushys, etc... however they are a little behind in some areas, where cockers are making a huge comeback

I have a magical sensi too... but I still think the break beam eyes are a better and more reliable technology because they are not able to be "tricked" by the vibration of the marker and 'sensi bounce'

I think the COPs worked fine for the most part. It did have many advantages over ACE although I rather have the eye. It didnt discriminate color or outside ambient light and all that stuff. Mine worked fine as long as I stayed clear of the Halo. As far as the IR port, I first thought that was pretty excessive but as soon as I got a cheap palm that was like one of the best features ever. If you want to change dwell or MROF or anything on your gun, who wants to scroll through all those menus? I admit there are some useless stuff like the temp thing. As much as I try to justify that, I can not find the use for it ever. But you know what, my calf leather suade on my ferrari is a little bit excessive too but thats what you get with a top notch performance machine. (OK I dont have a ferrari but I will own the best marker in the world in about a month)> Love cockers, love timmies and I love Trix. Shot them all and i think they are excellent markers. They all come distant second compared to WDP though.

well magical indeed i get no chops with my egg and just the ocasional chop with my halo.(like one a day, and thats usaully only if i get down to the last few balls bouncing around in there.)

and im at 53,### shots just on my a4 board. thats not counting how many i put on the speed board!

Emmit - Can I ask why you are going to get the Force 4 with eye when it is out if you have had no problems with sensi? I'm just curious because I have not had any problems with sensi either but am considering the new Force 4 also.

if it works then I've got nothing against it. I do however feel that Sensi works, and I've been very happy with it. I'm sure that I will in the end be very happy with WDP's break beam eye system.

Eyes v/s sensi ; Sensi you can't clean w/ a barrel buffer (the real barrel buffer from Waverly, not the ones from the big distributors)

Eyes seeing through paint? well, they probably have a way to sense if they are dirty and if so drop to a lower rate of fire like 14 or so.

IR.. well that is a great way to deal with having to rip off the grips if you are a tech and need to set up people's guns for them.

Paint / no paint.... well, all the guns shoot hella fast and it depends how you set it up as to how reliable it is in regards to breaking paint.

We finally get a factory angel with eyes... how awesome is that? The retrofits are cool, my LCD has one and will be in my box forever as the ultimate backup. The new A4 fly will be the first gun out on game day.

i was like super happy with my sensi and it was working good until i got too lazy about pulling my swab outta my pocket so i just rammed the straight shot down the gun (i use really cheap $20 paint) and then i broke my sensi rod. now sensi sucks.

I'd just like to say that I think it's about friggin time WDP put break-beam ACE into thier guns! BB ACE is the best and WDPs gun platform is the best as far as weight, ergonomics, battery life, ease of maintenance, and looks! Now the best of both worlds are together at last.
