battery pack?

ok.. first time trying to use the battery pack.. i brought it into the car and tried to charge my a4.. nothing happened.. the red dot was illuminated.. but when i plug the piece into the a4.. nothing happens.. it says in the manual a graph appears on the lcd.. also it says charge the Power Pack for 4 hours prior to use.. does that mean i plug in the charger 4 hours before i plug it into the a4?

i had a sim. prob. you gota push the plug in all the way, i thought mine was charging but instead it just sat there. Reason being the board was seated too far up so the plug couldnt go in all the way. take the grip off and adjust the board so its loose, then plug it in and it should charge, as its charging, then tighten the screws back so the plug fits.
