A4s and the tool kit gauge

ive heard that the gauge from early tool kits doesnt read properly on the A4 due to the length differences. Mainly that they take up a different volume than the volumizers threads do. Anyone else know what im talking about. just looking for some kind of confirmation on this.

they read just fine....if they didn't you'd see a different gauge on the market right now from WDP. All the techs are using the same tools they used fpr years before the Speeds and 4's.
