I think I got robert and tag mixed up. Robert is in Sac right. HE'S the one who told me to send it in. i know this may sound stupid, but there isn't some way to reboot the board by maybe holding a button or combo of buttons while turning on the switch, or something like that?

i know tag as bob, but i think he's also called robert, not sure

Most of our Tech's have a 24-48 turn around, since it's something as simple as trading out the board it should be a quick deal, but if you're really concerned send Moon an e-mail and ask him and get it straight from the horses mouth.

Hey Nate, when you say the "LCD board is out", what do you mean? Is it just not turning on? Re-booting constantly? Re-booting occasionally? Or turns on and looks like a foreign language?
Just curious. I had problems with my board re-booting whenever I used my timer. Never really fixed it...just don't use my timer.

When I turn the marker on, the backlight comes on and you can hear the "hum" that I've seen people talking about. but nothing comes on the screen, no batt gauge, no letters, nothing. As far as I know, the marker is fireing, and the light on the back of the grip will turn from green to red if I turn it on and press the red button.

that sounds like maybe the display wasn't plugged all the way into the board...or the LCD display is just shot

If the lcd screen hums its recieving power, are you able to borrow a lcd screen to test with your board? if you do and it still shows nothing then its the main board, maybe the chip is faulty or fried and have it replaced.

unfortunately I don't know anyone else who has a board, I'm the first in my crew to get an angel. I sent the whole board to FixMyAngel, so I should have a new one by mid next week.

Where did you buy the marker? Did you buy it from one of the various "qualified" service centers? Or opt to save a penny and buy it from a place like PBG? Sounds like this issue could have been avoided prior to your purchase of the marker.

well you cant blame him if he did buy it at pbg, maybe it got damaged during shipping or something. I bought mine from another online retailer for 1030$ with free 2nd day ship for my graphite a4
Found another site selling the carbon for 1k$

It's pretty hard for a board to get damaged in shipping considering how many protective layers there are around it. You've got the trigger frame, the box the marker comes in, packaging around the box and the box itself.
While I am no saying trying to suggest you shouldn't buy from PBG, I merely trying to speculate that sometimes it's not always the best method.

actually, I bought the marker from firstcallpaintball, as per CJ @ WDP's suggestion. The marker itself was shipped directly from WDP so what does that tell.
