I've noticed I can find cool looking back plates for LCDs, but not for LEDs. I want the snake backplate, I think it's really hot. But, it's for LCDs, not LEDs. I'm assuming there's no way that an LCD backplate will fit an LED is there? I just want one of those snake ones, but they only make them for LCDs. Thanks,
Jeremy

"modify" can often be a very scary idea. Will I actually have to change the shape of it, or just drill a hole for the LED in the back to come through?

You could have asked me......:)

Anyway, the problem with the LED back plates is that the wiring harness it kinda stuck to them(plug and LED are inserted from the outside, then soldered to the harness on the other). You would have to cut up the harness, remove the plug and LED, insert them to a new back plate, then re-solder it back together, And that's assuming that you could even modify the back plate to fit. And I tend to dissagree that the LCD plate can be made to look good on the LED, because the LCD back plate is smaller, therefor you'd have a gap if it were on the LED. That's my $.02...sorry.

Yeah, I just assumed I had asked you enough questions, and thought I'd bug some other people for a while :)

I really wanted one of those scary looking snake back plates. Those things are pretty hot. We need to find someone who owns a tool shop who could make some and sell them...

I obviously don't mind asking questions, I'm on here aren't I?..:)

The best way I can think of is if someone would make one with really good 3M adhesive backing, that would just stick on over the existing LED back plate. The tool shop won't help either, the back plates are cast....:)

Oops, I almost just answered my own question. I bet you COULD stick on on with 3M adhesive, as long as there were holes drilled out where the LED and charge port could stick through.....mmmm.
Now I'm thinking.....

I gotta find someone cool like you around here. Too bad everyone in North Carolina seems to suck. I need somebody with ideas, who can do this kinda stuff. Or atleast do the stuff. I can come up with the messed up ideeas if other people can do them.

I was going to take it a step further and convert the LED into a LCD, but the cost of a new board discouraged me. I have an extra LCD gripframe and everything, but no extra boards. What can I say, I get board....:)

I have the intele feed on the top of my 99 se and removed the charging port from the back and use a input to charge my gun instead of the charging system that came with it.

Well i know it isnt the snake backplate, but Animalpaintball.com has the "Liquid Backplate" for 20 bucks. It has a picture and it is the shape of the led backplates. They come in like 4 different see thru colors. animal (http://www.animalpaintball.com/cgi-bin/VirtualCatalog/CatalogMgr.pl?cartID=b-7650&SearchFor=Angel&template=Htx/search.htx&displayNumber=200) checkit out.

I've seen the liquid backplates before, but they don't do much for me. I want a metal one, with a cool design on it. It'd be really hot if I could get one with an A with angel wings on it. That'd be so cool. I bet if someone could mass produce those things a lot of people here would buy one. Assuming they weren't too expensive.

Wow, I think this is the most replies I've ever had to a topic I started. I feel important
