sidewinder, doolie, hp preset, and volumizer together q's

Alright i need to get a new reg, im planning on getting a sidewinder. If i get one will my force volumizer have the same affect with sidewinder as it did with the minireg and can i still change the lpr as i wish with the sidewinder?

right now i have a doolie and a hp preset but with the doolie lowering the tank output pressure into the sidewinder, will it make any difference compared to my hp preset straight into the minireg without a doolie, efficiency, kick? And without the doolie and with the sidewinder can i still use my volumizer and have my lpr setting as i did with doolie+hp tank+minireg?

I think with the sidewinder you would be fine without the doolie and all of your setting should remain the same, just so long as you have the same pressure going out from the sidewinder as you did with the minireg. Don't know if you heard about it or not, but AKA just released a new reg, the 2 Liter, it looks pretty cool.

Alien Abductor: A doolie is a reg that works like a bottom line, you screw the hp preset tank into it so that it functions like an adjustable. The PMI Thor is a doolie.

yes to your first and second questions.

basically your setup is triple regulated... tank > doolie > minireg > gun. most lp setups that wouldn't be necessary. but since you have hp, you can do that. or do the mini-reg mod and take out the doolie.

and every time you change your speed's input pressure, your lpr pressure changes.

i second winter001 on that 2 liter. it sounds awesome!

if you do get a sidewinder or cp or 2 liter, just check to make sure it can regulate 850 psi down to 200ish psi. if so, you can take off the doolie.

Hi, I have a speed and an new A 4, using a HP tank, I pulled 2 shims, lg volumizer. Do I need to do the reg mod? shooting good velocity.
from my understanding, the reg mod is to get the fps to low enough/appropriate speed. I'm doing fine without it. any input?

If your velocity is fine and your consistancy is fine I wouldn't worry about it, sounds like your gun is shooting great! On the subject of the AKA 2 Liter, they are going to be putting out different models with different output ranges, one of them will only output up to 350 psi! I want one!
