Am I stupid or does the frame not normally come w/ the trigger pivot points/holes. Look at my picture, I just got the gun today...

wtf?!?!
Now i'm really suspicious about my trigger pivot pin... it started coming out the wrong side and I didn't do any damage to it...
looks like someone fell asleep when they were supposed to drill the trigger frame for pivot points... :( does the trigger even work? how the hell did they assemble the marker without trigger pivot points?

Ha thats funny you dont have pivot points lol. WDP might give you a new gripframe if you ask them nicely that actually has the pivot points.

OK, so I look in my manual and the diagrams only show the ONE pivot point on the frame, as if it's SUPPOSED to be that way. It seems that in my instruction manual, the multiple pivot points might be on the actual trigger and not the frame?! I think there are multiple holes on the trigger itself and just the one hole on the frame. I guess reverse of what everyone else has...does that sound right?

well it's definately not normal, maybe they changed it just now but it didnt used to be like that
i checked the speed manual and it indeed only shows 1 pivot, maybe speeds were always meant to be made like that and they havent gotten up to it untill now

Hmm, maybe I have a newer model/release?! I tried to call WDP, but it's Saturday, so I gotta wait. I guess my question is... even though you guys have 3 holes on the frame, how many holes are on your actual trigger?
I'm thinking maybe if you guys have 3 on frame and 1 on trigger, my setup is opposite w/ 1 on frame and 3 trigger.

three holes on the frame (im pretty sure they just carried over the frame from the IR3 and didnt re-design it)
two on the trigger, because the front set-screw takes the place of the third hole, on the IR3 the set screws where the same as on the lcd & led but i could b wrong
for me at least
also look at the speed picture thread and you will c that the older speeds (i assume) have three holes

i wouldn't worry about not having the extra trigger pivot points, i personally don't know anyone who has used them

i wouldnt worry about it like outlaw said. my pivot point came stock at the back just like where urs is at and i never messed with it. i just used the other three screws for trigger adjustments...

yea i was thinking the same thing, but if there's anything free in it for him then i'd say go for it, otherwise i wouldnt send it in even if the shipping was free, waste of time

Yeah, free stuff, I'm down for that...might as well give it a try although according to this guy:
I just got my speed thursday and i onlyhave one also
it might just be on the newer ones produced...
I mean, I did find it kind of cool that my grip came in silver (as opposed to black) straight out of the package and included those few upgrades (volumizers/soft bolt/twist gate) in the box.

the silver speeds always came with silver grips stock, and as far as I have seen, everybody who is selling the speed, sells them with the 3sum volumizer pack, the soft touch bolt, and the clamping feed tube.

I have 3 pivot holes "drilled" on my Speed, but only one of them can be used. I just recently tried moving it and one of the holes doesn't line up properly and the other isn't threaded to allow the little screw to go in.

FINALLY...AN ANSWER.
Just got off the phone w/ a WDP warranty center (Impact Paintball) and the guy said that the newer release speeds only have one trigger pivot point b/c something about the other holes caused the trigger to not respond as well and the newer trigger is a little bit better, so WDP got rid of them and changed a couple other minor things although I couldn't really understand his explanation why it was better.
Newer Speed model revisions (according to the guy):
1) single pivot point hole
2) ball detent has a hole in it
3) trigger frame hole opened wider for easier tool use

that actually makes sense... minor adjustments like these will be made all the time without WDP making a huge fuss over it. Makes me happy that they're working on improvements all the time even though I have an older version!
