Is there anyone here who has had success installing macro line? I can get everything installed but there will always be one 90 degree elbow that leaks or something like that. I was just wondering if there is a trick to keep the lines or fittings from leaking. The line i ran was at an almost perfect verticle line between my drop foreward and the botton of the mini reg and it still had a leak. I have a steel braded line on it now just to be able to play but i would like to have macro line on it because of low profile and its easier to disconnect when servicing the gun. Any imput would be appreciated. Thx

you have to make sure that the cut is clean and straight, if it's angled or not clean you can leak, additionally you need to make sure that you've got enough extra length on the hose to make sure the collets can get a good grip to seal.
I've been using macroline since it's introduction and I've had no problems with it.

I've also never had any problem with macro line as long as the cuts are straight and clean and there is enough length to allow for the line to fit all the way into both collets with a little bit of extra to keep them pushed all the way in and clamped.

Thanks for the advice. Good to hear that there are people who havent had any problems with it... It gives me hope! :) I have tried it on 2 different guns and have had nothing but problems. Im sure my length wasnt long enough so ill pick up another line and cut it right this time.

yea you probably cut it a little short, it needs a nice amount of length to go all the way in, just plug it in on one side so you can just get an idea of how much extra length you need for a secure fit

Are we still talking about macro lines here? :bouncer:
Now that my head is out of the gutter... You indicated that you almost have a straight vertical line, which in my experience is usually a little harder to get it to stop leaking. Try it with a bend in your line. The idea is when you air up the line the collets push out and grip the line. If it is straight, it is a little harder for the collets to do this. You can still get it to work like this (try vaseline on the outside of the line to allow the collets to slip a little easier) because I have done it. It is just a little harder.

Ok thanks. I instaled a fresh kit on last night and it seems to work well. A tiny bit of leaking at the initial gass up but then it sounds like it stops. I cant get complete silence because my new evil valve kit is leaking for some reason inside my gun. Air seems to be excaping out of the exhaust port in the breech. Not sure what is causing it. I installed everything back the way it was with the origional valve. Oh well. Guess its another 50 mi trip to my nearest angel dealer to see if he can work his magic. Thanks for the advice guys!
