I believe he's reffering the Cobra thumb screw, and since Cobra doesn't make them anymore it's going to be a hard time finding that. Additionaly just an FYI the Cobra thumb screw does not work on the new style AIR regs.

i know. i have an older reg...but could i make like a makeshift thumbscrew myself?

This is a bit old, but since noone replied...
Yes, you could make one very easily (well that depends on what tools you have).
Best thing to do is make the thumb part (make a plate like this -| ) and mount it on the air like this -|==TANK. To attach it put two screws in where the locking screws go. Simple :)
I can draw it out, I was thinking about making one myself.

I am in the process of making these right now. I fabricated a thumb screw which I liked, then I removed the screw that was on the reg. I bought another screw of the same size, and welded the screw to the thumb. I am not yet sure of it duarbility, but it's working for me.
