Anyone have any news or know any more on this?

According to the WDP site:

"Maximus and Magued have been at WDP HQ for a week, working closely with their top R&D guys, honing the already silky smooth Angel 4 to their exact specifications to produce their very own Joy Angel. The Joy Angel will feature exotic new body shaping and electronic and mechanical advancements that will no doubt give the Swedish dream boys the sexiest gun on the tournament circuit and the guys plan to do some serious damage in 04."

Joy Division had a custom version of the IR3, and they are one of WDP's marquee teams, why shouldn't they have a custom 4? It'll likely be just like the IR3 was and only be available to them.

Emmit is prob right. But like Dynasty's guns, they will be available for a high price. Somehow, someway people will get ahold of em. Either way sounds great though!!!

I hope it's better looking than the joy division ir3, never did like the way that gun looked.

Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't the joy division IR3 a fancy anodized fade with a tattoo? The milling itself wasn't unique.

That's all it was. It was a black to gold fade with Joy Division (I think) tattood on the power tube.

they were never made available to the public until the team started selling them off, WDP did not market it and sell it, the individual players did so.

the jd's are hot, it took a while for the team to start selling their ir3's tho. So no normal person will get a hold of one of these for a while....

If WDP were to just give JD a custom ano job and some difft. electronics, I could see that maybe these would never be sold directly to the public. However, given that they are also doing different milling, doesn't that seem to make it more likely that these will eventually be available as a custom team gun?

Hell, Smart Parts is falling all over itself to make custom Shockers and Dynasty is getting their own gun, so why wouldn't WDP follow suit beyond just the Force 4?

maybe because WDP has never been one to follow crowd?:dunno:

I like to think that WDP is better than SP. If SP wants to mass produce a gun for every team it sponsors great, but WDP is more exclusive than that, and that is why they are better.

If everyone had a McLaren f1 they wouldnt be that great now would they?

They're capitalists just like everyone else in the industry. Two new markers in one year is a fine indication of that. If there's money to be made and the demand high enough on a product I can't imagine why someone wouldn't want to release it.

Though... WDP has never been one to release team edition markers. Perhaps they don't believe in that market area. Quite frankly I can't imagine anyone wanting to own a marker with another team's name on it... one that you don't even play for!

Not really if you take the paintball season as ending say the end of OCT then it was only a month or 2 before others had them. I got mine in Jan of 2003 so basically 3 months after the season ended... and I was the 3rd owner!
Either way once a season is over team guns are up for sale all the time. But Im sure JD and WDP have something sick in the works.

I'm sure all the answeres to your questions will be available at the release. The rumor has it that it's the 12th this month, just a few days from now, so be patient.
