Im thinking of buying a Speed by the end of the month.

First of all should I upgrade the barrel ? If so what are the good options out there ?

Also, what is the best air system to go with it ? I was thinking of buying the Angel Air System (4500psi). If I buy this item, do I need other accessories (hose, regulator) ?

Finally, what does a volumizer do ? Is it necessary ?

Thanks.

If you order soon enough from Paintballgateway.com the Speeds come with an Ultralite (2-piece) for free. They definately have the best deal on the net, but you'll have to order quickly.

As for the tank, I run one of the newer SCI Crossfires which work awesome. I shot a 228, 226, 233, 228 the first time I used it an my angel's mini reg isn't even broken in yet(only about 800 shots to date.) I was using Blaze through my Ultralite just so you know. Very nice recharge as well.

The only thing that a volumizer does is lower the operating pressure, allowing you to raise the dwell and lower the LPR, thus allowing your gun to be easier on paint.

you will need a dropforward...or a tank mount

i would just stick with the stock barrell. It is not bad and i have always shot accuratly with it. I would recommend buying a Clamp feed for it, and maybe a 3sum pack as well. As far as a drop forward goes, get a cradle. That is what i have. When you are playing, the less you have on your gun, the better. I have bad luck and almost every time i play, i used to get shot in the drop forward. Maybe it is just me. You can also purchase a soft bolt. That is about it.
The nice thing about the Speeds is that you dont need to do alot to them. They are just a great gun.

one more thing- do not get an Angel Air System. Sure they are good, but when they break, they are a pain in the butt to fix. I know. Get a Crossfire Pre-set 68ci, 4500 PSI. that is all you need. that is the same tank i have. I love it.
