A couple of friends and I was discussing distance, accuracy, and maintenance of various guns and one of them had the following reply. I thought you would all enjoy it, especially number 3.

My only knowledge is that based on experience:

1. Never underestimate the distance that a cocker will reach out and get you.

2. A Automag probably works just as good under water as above

3. An Angel shot to the groin region is painful. Mainly because more than one paintball will be hitting you due to how fast their rate of fire is.

4. The older you get the harder it is to make it to the bunkers.

yeah you can't shoot a mag under water if will screw up you valve, cockers though you can. A little water doesn't hurt a mag though juyst don't discarge it submurged.

Please know what you are talking about before you call people uneducated. One of the ways of cleaning a mag is by submersing it in water.

Who is the uneducated one now? :thefinger

As you stated, I am not trying to make a personal attack (no offense), but please don't post on things you don't know.

Mags do work underwater. The air is sealed tight untill the hammer pushes open the valve, in which case there is over 300psi coming OUT. You would have to be pretty mofo deep to have that much positive pressure outside the gun so you dont have to worry about the water getting in.

Then again I wouldnt use my gun in a pool...what was he ever thinking?

heck I remember when I bought my R/T and it actually said to clean it submerse it in a bucket of water while it was aired up...I was like WTF??? It does say not to fire it tho, so as far as operation goes I'm not going to comment on that...now I still never did it. Oh and Vantage...if I remember correctly the operating pressure on Mags (at least the older ones) was over 700psi:yikes:

I have however seen more than one Angel get completely submerged and come up firing:wink:

Yea I wasnt sure on what the operating pressure was, and I didnt want to list something too high so people could say "oh well its only Xpsi so the water might come in".

Haha yea if you fired that sucker in a bucket of water I daresay it would blow most of the water clean outta the bucket (which is why they tell you not to shoot).

Thanks for the info tho emmit.

Are you serious? I know that mags can be fired underwater. It seemed like you were saying that mags shoot like crap. And if you were stating that, then you're just a biased fool.

:notsure: Not sure where you got that from. The point was that a mag can shoot under water. It had nothing to do with how well.

actually the new mags with the XVALVE use 850 psi...
and I found that my old R/T worked better at 1000psi than it did at 700...I heard that Tom Kaye even ran his E-Mag at 1000:dunno:
