internally...still the same....not worth th extra $300 price tag it's likely to garner...
and it does appear they removed a lot from the back etc....meh still not my cup of tea

thats the most odd ball milling ive ever seen.
Emmit
02-10-2004, 05:47 PM
after reading somewhere else this is actually the first one that's actually any different...and all it really is is the top half is milled to allow for a shorter bolt, for slightly faster cycle times.

i've never been a huge timmy fan but the finally cut some of them down to size which is nice. the milling is a little "different" but okay. no matter what they do to them though... they'll always be spyders on steriods.

I don't like timmies, but it pisses me off when people say they are souped up spyders. They have a ram and are completely electro-pneumatic. The only thing that resembles a spyder is the body, and even that is changing.

wow those things are multiplying faster than rabbits now, thats like 2 that came out in month. still doesnt get me to like them.

mmmmmm spyders..... im sorry but they LOOK LIKE GOD FORSAKEN SPYDERS, sure some of them shoot fast, but that's because the new ones ARE BOUNCING SPYDERS, they cant shoot worth crap unless they bounce, and if you need that, then you're sad, and when they break, they REALLY break...
Woogie12
02-24-2004, 07:27 PM
I will admit, bounce is stupid, but they ARE NOT EVEN CLOSELY RELATED TO SPYDERS INTERNALLY! lol

No But They Look Like Them
Woogie12
02-24-2004, 08:16 PM
Yes they do but you still said this: ARE BOUNCING SPYDERS, they cant shoot worth crap unless they bounce
Which is not true.

remember several years back when bob long came out with the millenium series markers? well that's the begining of the timmies. yes bob did rework the internals but the basis was a spyder. look at the knock off that are coming out now. i've even seen replacement rams for spyders and clones, that are supposed to duplicate the speed of a timmy. deny'n it is to stupify yourself. don't do that.
Woogie12
02-24-2004, 08:46 PM
I know that was the beginning of timmies, but they have evolved so much that you can't call them spyders internally. And those ram kits work because the body is roughly the same shape.

So we can agree they are just modified spyders?
let's say we took you now. and then you after you've been pumped with steriods for a few months. same person, yes. same thing, not by a long shot. thus timmies are spyders on steriods. make sense to ya?
Woogie12
02-24-2004, 10:05 PM
Makes sense, but it's not the same when you're talking about timmies and spyders.

Well I know one thing for sure, Suped up spyders or not, I wouldnt trade my shutter for one

Maybe it is just me but now it looks like they are trying to copy Angels with the LCD in the grip and the buttons on the back. It reminds me of Lexus. A Timmy(Lexus) is generally a Spyder(Toyota) that wants to be an Angel(Mercedes). Just my observation.

you do have to give timmies some credit. they are fast and light guns. but when it comes to myseld i would never trade my led for one. well i wouldn't trade mine for anything really. but yeah timmies are up at the top of the food chain. and that they have finally started cutting them down to size makes them more appealing to me. they still came from spyders, that's mainly what i was getting at.

I got to admit Timmies are great guns. For me though I cant really compare them to WDP Angels. WDP has been in the game alot longer, have been refining their products as they get insanely better. They are fast but so are A4s and speeds. When I hold one in my hand, it doesnt feel as quality as any of the angels and a few people that I know have had some problems with accuracy. Also I think as far as cosmetics, angels got them beat by a long shot. All timmies look a little too gothic to me. If I am going to spend 1000 plus on a gun, I want it to look as pretty as it shoots. As far as performance, they are good guns but I have to agree that I would by a trix before I buy a timmy. Timmies offer nothing really all that special compared to any other electro with similar functioning mech.
