if the paint to barrel match is good, there's no need for a different barrel. I have been using the stock barrel on my 4 whenever I get the chance because I like the 1 piece design better. The Infinity barrels are good.

I usually use a Freak system just because I typically shoot Draxxus which is a little small for the stock barrel. Once I did shoot RP Premium through the stock barrel and that did shoot darts. Like Emmit said, if your stock barrel works great for you there is no reason to get another. The Infinity series barrels are smooth, durable, well ported and looks great on the Angel it came with.

yea i liked my stock one a lot too when i would match it with the paint. but since my field is garbage and always switching paint brands, i had to get a system. stay with ur stock if you can always get the right paint...

a barrel set or kit is often helpful if you travel to events that are event paint only. Often if you only plan to play at one specific field, and only use one brand of paint a barrel kit is not what you need, instead consider buying a barrel that fits your normal paint and possible one bigger and one smaller (when money permits) this will take into account the various changes that you'll get when the weather changes, as well as the difference in the paint from when the manufacturer changes their dies. This idea often works out better because it lets you use that $80 on paint now, and buy a barrel later when you need it.

I gotta add here...
I have a two dye boomy backs... .688 and .692 often I run into paint that is .689... will .001 difference effect accuracy, and will it significantly change the chance of breaking in the barrel? ( i could always use my stock barrel, but I was just curious..)
I figured until I run into a problem, I'll deal w /it.
Let me know your thoughts...

chances are that 1 thousandth isn't going to make a whole lot of difference, provided the paint still passes through the barrel easily enough, if it isn't then you're going to experience barrel breaks, and as a result lose accuracy. Hence the reason it's always best to test a handful of paint through the barrel at the beginning of the day, and then check it again about half way through the day as it starts to warm up some.
