IR3 Milling Ideas

We are going to make an IR3 and want some milling/color ideas.

Instead of a front to back fade maybe a bottom to top? Wouldnt be my first choice but its an idea, heh.
One sorta cool idea might be doing two colors split down the middle of the gun, so all those people with different colored halves of loaders can have the rest of the gun the same wierd 2 pieced way :tongue:

HEY YOU GUYS EVERY SEEN THAT CAMILIEN COLOR ON CARS . ITS CHANGES DIFFRENT COLORS FROM DIFFRENT ANGLES. IF YOU GOT AN ANGEL LIKE THAT IT WOULD BE KICK

Yea they had Camilien Tippmann 98 about a year ago. They changed from green to purple. I don't think too many IR3 owners would like that.

Your also not just limited to milling and colour... look into bead blasting and lazer etching. Adds another area to be customized.

As for the chameleon color, they do anno it, but only one place I know of does it right now, and that is Planet Eclipse Paintball. As far as I know, they have never done an Angel in the Aurora color, only the Shocker, and the Autococker. I think it would look pretty fat :drools: , but what do you guys think? I'll toss the link out to them here as well...

Seeing as i already have a few markers that are nice, i want my next angel to be very nice. Ill think about some milling, but as for color, Pearl white would be sweet. Im talking about the pearl white you see on cadillac escalades. Make me one of those with a nice milling pattern and ill buy it. Also, i'm a fan of a nice fade with reverse splash Like ravi chopras westwood autococker.

Daring but hey... I like women... if I could design my own milling.. it would be of the best creation in the world....

Of course these were quick sketches and may not be proportionate.. but you get the idea....

I personally like the top one.. but the bottom one is a good idea if I could actually draw a women.

Another idea is to engrave shiloettes (sp?) of women in different positions...

They have the lady Drop... Lady Trigger.. Lesbian Air.. not sure what they called the AIR with the man juice on her tongue... Look at their website with all the pics and video strictly with the topic of women... heck.. my girlfriend is in the IAO video.

What would be really cool is to have the other side the back side of a women.. rather than having two front sides... Just a thought

if im not mistaken.. WDP does all the milling for all the other manufacturers.. like the mamba, the impact, the dark etc.. so they would be doing the milling anyways..

i was thinking about it, and u could make leg volumizers. have the body continue to the front region and u could design cool volumizers as legs.

Its been done, seen some at the WPF Master last year on an Adrenalin LCD although I dont think Adrenalin made them.

Vogel.. what do you have to provide to WDP to mill your guns.. cad drawings or the such? Or do you give them your ideas then they have their engineers put something together?

i am in big favor of the woman idea.i think the legs would work out better for the volumizers rather than the boobs, where would the rest of the body go if te boobs were on the tip of the gun. if it is done so the legs are at the back of the gun, the feeder could be the boobs.( . Y . )

or.. you could have a woman lying on her stomach, the feed tube would be her head, volumizers as her boobs, and the breach would be about where her butt would be, making the 14way area into her legs.. i also have an amazing idea for a cocker on this idea, but would need someone who can mill their own body

if u have an angel maybe you could see what im saying, but from the feed tube to the volumizers its about 1.5 inches, if the feed tube was her head, i think it would be difficult to stretch the boobs out to the volumizers...

A reflective pearl-white iR3 with nickel accents would be tight. I'de just mount the thing on the wall rather than play with the damn thing. As far as milling goes; I work on autoCAD all day and have done some 'playing' around with drawings of different milling jobs, (don't tell my boss lol) some of which are pretty cool looking. I'll make some of them into .jpg's and post them on here ASAP. When I get enough time, I'll try to model them in CAD aswell so you can see them in 3D.

I'm pretty sure that it's not possible to anno something white since white isn't actually a color, it's the absence of color. You can come close but I don't think you can anno the absence of color.

Actually black is the absence of color and white is the combonation of all colors but I don't know that you could anodize is seeing as you would have to anodize it in a way that it refleced all light but oh well

That only applies to light, but then again color is just a filtering of lights so its all light anyway and lets not get technical...
But when it comes to annodizing, black is the combo of all colors and white is absence.
When you were a little kid and that stupid punk bitch kid mixed all the colors of your playdough it sure as hell didnt turn white :)

Well thats because when you take yellow playdow that absorbs red ang blue light and blue playdow that absorbs yellow and red light and red playdow that absorbs yellow and blue light and you mix it together instead of coming up with playdow that reflects no light taking on the properties to absorb all colors of light instead of taking on there properties to reflect all three of the colors so you couldn't anodize a gun red then blue then yellow and get a white gun but if you could make the gun relect all light then it would be white......so basically you'd have to anodize it white more or less LOL but who really cares that much :puzzled:

It might be neat to have some real deep milling with the word ANGEL on the side, sort of 3-D. But the body might be too long of an area. The letters could be short and fat, unless you added some kind of lines or something on either side of the word.

I'd also like to see some cool tatoos, like the Dynasty Mamba has. The guy from Cobra told me that a bunch of their new IR3s were going to have a tatoo of a pretty mean looking cobra snake down the side of the tubed part of the body.

Actually you cannot do true white in anno because anno is simply the coloration of the "rust" layer on the gun which is a silver color to start. The closest you can get (and it is pretty close) is to do a super fine dust and then clear anno it. In reality it is silver but the dispersion of the light from the bead blasting causes a satin appearance that makes the silver look more white :)

I kind of like the idea, I was thinking about it the other day a matter of fact. What would be cool would be that the boobs are the volumizers and the whole front area of the gun could be like a face with the barrel coming out of the mouth or something to that effect and then the gun continues the body untill the legs get to the back. Would look sweet and unique.

Make the entire gun frame Carbon fiber and sleave the bores. This would be the lightest stongest Marker on the market. Not to mention it would be the most awsome looking IR3 ever produced. :mex:
