i have a halo b, and i think it has already once broke my sensi, and at the moment im too broke to get an egg, does anyone have a suggestion, anything i can do with the hopper?maybe lower the sensitivity of my halo (if its possible) so it doesnt ram balls down the sensi's throat???

If you try the impulse forum www.impulseownersgroup.com or another site you will be able to find someone who will trade you straight up for your halo.... they are in demand.

well alot of people say that the halo broke their sensi, so try the sensi test to tell for sure, but please keep the halo! it is far superior to the egg.... so, first do the sensi test, to make sure if its broken or not, then if it isn't, try what i wrote below, please don't put an egg on the angel, the halo is faster, and will work, you just have to know how to use it on the angel with the sensi, and i mean, it took me a while, but this is what i've figured out about the relationship between the two, and it has seemed to work with the other a4's that we've tried it on, so......

---you know that a halo has a "max feed rate", and a "burst feed rate". the "max" is in the mid to high twenties, if i'm not mistaken, but the "burst" is up to 50 bps!!! this is acheived by the spring under the feeding whell that builds tention on the stack when the loader is on, has paint, and you are not shooting.

---now, when you are calibrating (sp?) the sensi, don't let the spring on the wheel build that tention. so don't turn on the loader until you are ready to calibrate. this will allow the sensi to calibrate for the "max feed rate", instead of the "burst rate".

---after i figured this out i can't out shoot the loader, the sensi (mode 1) won't let me shoot faster than the halo is giving me paint, and you can still shoot the burst, because once the sensi is calibrated right, it will adjust the rate of fire to the loader's capability. so if the spring is "charged" you can still get that incredibly fast "stack burst" if you will, then the sensi will notice that the loader is slowing down after you shoot the stack, and the loader starts to feed at the "max feed rate", again it will adjust the gun's rate of fire to match the loader.

---don't give up on it. don't limit yourself by the loader, all you need to do is calibrate the sensi right, make sure that you have strong ball detents ( to accomodate the added presure from the halo "tention"). dude, really all it is, is calibration. if you do that, trust your sensi, you shouldn't have any problems.

---it took me a while to figure this out, and i hope that its not only my gun that it works on, but i hope that this helped, and anyone else that is having halo problems. remember, its all about the calibration!!!!!!!!

but just to make sure my halo WON'T snap my sensi, is there any way to adjust the loader so it doesnt push down with such brute force?

I sanded my SENSI rod down do it barely sticks up into the breech. It is still every bit as sensitive as having it stick further out, but doesnt have the risk of being pushed in too far and cracking the SENSI.

So has this worked for anyone else, I went ahead and got my A4 with a halo (its showing up friday) and I would really like to know if this is a 100% fix to this "halo" issue?

well after having both halo and evo 2 (evo came in today), i have to say without a doubt, evo 2 is very angel friendly, once u put ur hand to stop the balls from coming out the hopper, balls completely stop in its tracks, now if that were a halo and u put ur hand there, sure the hopper would stop feeding, and there is just too much force coming out the halo for me to trust it with my new sensi(previously broken by a halo). the evo 2 is very well built and in my opinion, is like it was made for angels =), i have tested my evo many times and everytime i got 20bps feed rate (without z-board) but then again it might just be the one i have. i think evo2 and z-board is the best when it comes to reliability, plus its still cheaper then halo! lol

One of the tricks to make Halo B's more freindly with speeds and A4's is to lube the Halo's belt and drive cone to give it that tension slippage to reduce the force on the stack, which in turn reduces the pressure exterted on the sensi rod.
The other is to reduce the profile of the actual sensi rod itself, so it does not protrude as much out from the bottom sensi hole (reducing the rod "flex" factor). I think this has already been covered in one of the many posts. You'll have to run a search to get the details.
I don't have a Halo B as yet but I may pick one up soon as a spare. My AF4 had no issues with this loader stock when I tried out the combo. I still have an egg2 z which I like and as so many on here have pointed out - holds that extra quantity of paint.

wraven a few things to help with potential halo issues... several people suggest a low rise feedneck. and i suggest lowering the halo's sensitivity found the info here and i like it!! (thanks Jasyn)

and you definately want the ram adjusted correctly!

that should get you started!
