Hi,
I am, sadly, a newb to all angels. Ive owned a bushmaster and know it inside out, but i am only beggining to learn about angels. I just have a few questions before i make this trade for an IR3.
Ive heard that COPS doesnt work, and chopping can occur very frequently, is this true, and is it fixable? ive done some searches on COPS and every one ive seen has ended with a happy baller so im assuming that it is a simple adjustment problem.
Are angels hard to maintain? im not too big on cleaning and lubing, although i will do it as frequently as necessary, just wondering how much time and effort i will have to put into my new marker.
Last but not least is the WDP tool kit, what is this and is it necessary to maintain your gun? i have all the regular tools such as a screwdriver, allen keys etc.
Thankyou

1: as far as cops go..the first version of COPS that was introduced wasnt very great...soon the COPS2 software came out. it had much finer settings that made it much better. if the gun you are getting doesnt have a mem6 board, then it doesnt have COPS2. ask the guy your tradiing if it is a mem6 COPS2.

2: angels are very easy to maintain. jsut a few drops of love juice into the macro line is all you need.

3: a wdp toolkit is a must have if you are going to tune and fully maintain your angel. search around here for info on how to use it.

Ya the COPS idea isn't as great as say, a break beam system as far as consistantly keeping chops to the minimum. It does work if it set up properly.

For maintenance u will need to put some oil in the valve port under the roto-breech and some oil in the macro line and take about 50+ shots.

Eventually u will need to get a tool kit if u dont know someone who has one really close by. If you can afford a tool kit get one. Its not gonna make the marker break if u dont have one but its definately convinient to have one when u feel like tuning.

does the setup for COPS and all other variables (such as dwell etc) vary greatly from gun to gun? we should have a place in the forum where everyone tells all their settings and stuff, for reference for newbs like me.

Setup does not vary that much from gun to gun. A lot of it is personal preferance and how you want it set up. There is a thread on here for marker setups. You just need to look a little because there are all different kinds of Angels posted in here:

For great info on tool kit use, as posted by Ken Crane, a Master Tech, look at the Technical Reference section, found here:
