Gettin' the ladies to play ball

I'm sure there has to be at least ONE of you with a similar situation...

I've got a few girls I chill with that i'm trying to get to play paintball with us. Problem is, they're 'girlie girls' and WANT to play, but are too scared of getting shot, breaking a nail, etc...

How do (or did) u convince someone not to be such a chicken§§§§? We would have a bunch of players if the girls would just get into it :rrrright:

I tend to have this problem getting my girlfriends to play. Here's what I tell them......

If you're really afraid of getting shot, breaking a nail or whatever.....try a couple of games as a back player. Being back there will allow them to watch the game a bit more and kind of follow others leads. Plus, there's less a chance of them having to slide into bunkers. If you're on opposing teams you could also say, "Hey, you get to shoot me!"
I'm not sure if the fields you play have general and advanced classes, but if they do, it couldn't be that bad in a general class for starters.......

If all else fails, tell them all the guys will be looking at them and talking to them because there usually aren't many girls.

My b/f got me out there by asking me if I'd buy a marker (even though I'd never played before) and telling me I could shoot him. I was sold.

Being a girl, it would be nice to see more of us out there!!

ive gotten my sister to play and she loves it...there is a couple chics at school that i hang around that have played b4 but dont want to again...but i think im gonna try to get them to....

TopCourage - how come they dont wana play any more? I'd bet the people they played with acted like jerkoffs.

We almost got one of the fella's girls to play, but then he goes and says "Baby, let me shoot you so you know what it feels like" and nails her point blank in the ankle... so of course, now she doesn't want to even try it :lost: Yeah, I smacked him for that.

we used to bring some of our g/f's to play and our rule was always that she got to use whatever his "supergun" was. So if he was using an Angel she got the Angel, and he had to use his backup or a rental for the day. This way she never felt out gunned. Something else we always did was at some point in the day we went on a manhunt for him. A couple of us would form a moving human bunker, and she'd get behind us and we made sure that she got to shoot her b/f. These things usually brought her back for more. One of the guys even ended up having to buy his girl her own gun.

My girlfriend loves paintball... she hasn't missed any tournaments of mine and only missed one practice. However, she didn't play paintball until recently.

What I had to do is buy her a marker.. chest protector.. and a lot of clothes. We had to do this with my brother's wife and several other ladies.

They actually felt more comfortable playing up front.. basically I would talk them through what to do... constantly speaking... and provide them cover... If there was an end move or a bunker move, I'd direct them on how and when to do it while I provided cover.

They all loved it... now they want to start an all ladies team.
